Before installing and using the AMiO EV charger, users must
read this document carefully, heed all warnings, and follow all
instructions contained in this document.
Failure to follow this instruction may result in electric shock,
which could result in death or serious injury. Information
contained in this document is subject to change without
notice and does not represent a commitment on the part of
AMiO. AMiO is not responsible for any injury, damage, or loss
resulting from improper installation or use of this device.
Warnings:
•
The
AMiO
EV
charger
must
always
be
installed
by
qualied
personnel in accordance with the electrical regulations in
force in the relevant country.
•
Always connect the charger to a 400V AC power source.
Touching non-insulated parts (e.g., PCB pins , connectors, or
wires) may cause electric shock.
•
DO NOT open the front cover while the charger is in use.
•
DO NOT touch the connector pins .
•
DO NOT insert tools into the vehicle type 2 connector.
•
If it is necessary to open the front cover (e.g. during
installation), always disconnect the power supply at the
main circuit breaker.
•
The charger is intended for adult use only.
•
Adapters, conversion plugs and extension kits may not be
used.
•
If the red LED lights up, disconnect the power supply
immediately.
•
To prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD), avoid touching PCB
pins , components and terminals.
•
Never install or use a damaged product.
•
Improper use may result in electric shock or property
damage (including vehicle damage).

Before installation or use, please read this document carefully,
pay attention to all warnings and follow all instructions.
Required tools:
To properly install the AMiO EV charger, you will need the
following tools:
Preliminary steps:
Before installation, make sure that:
•
The electric vehicle charger can be mounted vertically on a
solid, reproof wall or an optional metal pole;
•
There is sucient space available for installation;
•
The required power cable (not included) to the junction box
complies with national regulations;
•
The electric vehicle can be parked close enough for the
5-meter charging cable to reach it;
•
If you are using a metal pole, mount it high enough so that
the base is not submerged in water during rain.
(P/N: 04842) Cable requirements:
Before installation, make sure that:
•
Minimum cable cross-section: 5 x 2.5 mm² (maximum 40 m).
•
For lengths over 40 m: use 5 x 6 mm² cable.
•
At least a C16 4P circuit breaker should be used.
•
Check local regulations regarding the need to install an
external emergency stop switch.
(P/N: 04843) Cable requirements:
Before installation, make sure that:
•
Minimum cable cross-section: 5 x 6 mm² (maximum 40 m).
•
For lengths over 40 m: use 5 x 10 mm² cable.
•
At least a C32 4P circuit breaker should be used.
•
Check local regulations regarding the need to install an
external emergency stop switch.

Since installation methods vary depending on location,
accessories such as switches, wiring, and mounting hardware
are not included with the charger.
Stand mounting:
1.
Using a screwdriver, attach the back plate to the stand using
the screws from bag 5.1.
2.
Attach the cable holder to the stand using the screws from
bag 5.3.
Wall mounting:

Installation must only be performed
by qualied electricians in accordance with local regulations.
1. Drill holes according to the dimensions of the mounting plate
2. Attach the mounting plate to the wall (using 5.1 x 6 screws)
3. Drill holes according to the plug holder plate (2)
4. Attach the plug holder mounting plate (2) to the wall (using
5.1 x 2 screws)
5.
Hang the EV charger on the mounting plate from below and
secure it (using 5.3 x 2 screws)
6.
Attach the plug holder (3) to the plate (2) using 5.3 x 1 screws

All settings must be entered before connecting the charger to
the vehicle.
Sequence:
Power on >> Set current/schedule >> Charging
Before use:
•
Installation and connection must be performed by qualied
personnel.
•
Always disconnect the power supply during installation,
maintenance, or replacement.
•
The power supply must meet the requirements for the
charger and be properly grounded.
•
Use insulated tools to prevent short circuits.
•
Do not modify or upgrade any parts.
•
Strictly adhere to the design parameters and operating
conditions.
•
Keep the environment clean, dry, and at a constant
temperature/humidity.
•
Do not use in a ammable or unstable atmosphere.
•
Keep away from children.
Current setting (P/N: 04842):
Supported current values: 13A / 16A / AU
•
“16” = maximum current (16 A)
•
“AU” = automatic mode
•
Default at startup = “AU”
Note: The power at which a given vehicle is charged depends
on the charging power limited by the vehicle manufacturer.
Using an 11kW charger does not guarantee that this power will
be achieved during charging.
Current setting (P/N: 04843):
Supported current values: 13A / 16A / 24A / 32A / AU
•
„32” = maximum current (32 A)
•
„AU” = automatic mode
•
Default at startup = „AU”
Note: The power at which a given vehicle is charged depends
on the charging power limited by the vehicle manufacturer.
Using an 22kW charger does not guarantee that this power will
be achieved during charging.
Setting:
1.
Press the button — a red arrow will appear next to “Set
Curr.”
2.
Press and hold (3 seconds) to enter the settings mode.
3.
Press to switch between options.
4.
Press and hold (3 seconds) to conrm.
Setting the scheduled time:
Used for delayed charging—the system starts automatically
after the set time has elapsed.
1.
Press the button until a red arrow appears next to
“Schedu-T.”
2.
Press and hold (3 seconds) to enter the settings mode.
3.
Press once to increase the delay by 30 minutes (max. 24
hours).
4.
Press and hold (3 seconds) to conrm.
Cancellation:
•
Increase the time above 24 hours (resets to 0).
•
Or disconnect the power supply and restart.
Setting the timer:
Used to limit the charging time. Charging is interrupted after
the set time has elapsed or when the vehicle battery is fully
charged.
1.
Press the button until a red arrow appears next to “Timer.”
2.
Press and hold (3 seconds) to enter the timer settings.
3.
Press once to increase by 30 minutes (max. 12 hours).
4.
Press and hold (3 seconds) to conrm.
Charging:
1.
Turn on the AMiO charger.
2.
Adjust the settings.
3.
Open the AC charging port on the vehicle.
4.
Connect the charging cable to the electric vehicle and make
sure it is locked in place.
5.
Charging will start automatically once the port is locked.
Stopping charging:
Charging can be stopped:
•
By pressing the release button on the vehicle’s plug socket.
•
Automatically when the battery is fully charged.
•
When the time set on the timer expires.
•
By pressing the emergency stop button.

After charging, unplug the charger, place it in the holder, and
turn o the power.
In
the
event
of
a critical
error,
smoke,
or
re,
immediately
shut down the device using the emergency stop button.
If
it
is
safe
to do
so, use
a powder,
CO₂, or
sand re
extinguisher
suitable for extinguishing electrical res (≤ 1000 V).

Although the AMiO charger is designed to be maintenance-
free, it should be checked periodically.
Before inspection:
always disconnect the power supply.
Checklist:
•
Check that the housing is not cracked or damaged.
•
Check that the cable insulation is intact.
•
Check that the Type 2 connector housing is not damaged.
•
Make sure the connectors are straight, clean, and free of
corrosion.
•
Check that there is no water remaining in the rubber cover.
If damage is found, stop using the charger and contact the
manufacturer or supplier.
Care of the device:
•
When not in use, wrap the charging cable around the holder.
•
Dust and moisture should only be cleaned with a dry cloth.
•
Do not use water or solvents for cleaning.
