1.2 Intended use and the overview
Fiskars Battery’s main purpose is to provide power to
Fiskars power tools. Please see the product manuals
of the different Fiskars power tools to nd out how one
should use the battery pack with the tools. The battery

NOTICE: Always keep the battery pack dry
and clean when in use and storage. Do not
allow water or moisture to enter the battery.
2.2.1 Battery use and care
1. Before using the battery pack, read all
instructions and cautionary markings.
2. Recharge only with a USB-C type cable
and charger plug.
WARNING:
3. Do not short-circuit the battery pack by
touching the terminals with any conductive
materials as it can cause a large current flow,
other kinds of damage or injury. When battery
pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal
objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails,
screws or other small metal objects, that can
make a connection from one terminal to anoth-
er. Shorting the battery terminals together may
cause burns or a re.
4.Under abusive conditions, liquid may be
ejected from the battery; avoid contact.
If contact accidentally occurs, flush with
water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally
seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the
battery may cause irritation or burns. The use
of protective goggles is required when the
battery pack is being used with power tools.
Damaged or modied batteries may exhibit
unpredictable behavior resulting in re,
explosion or risk of injury. Follow all charging
instructions and do not charge the battery
pack or appliance outside.
WARNING:
5. Do not use, store or charge the battery
pack in rainy or wet conditions. Be cautious
of using the product near water. Do not
handle the battery pack, charger cable, plug,
or terminals with wet hands.
6. Do not clean the battery pack with a
corrosive cleaner.
7. "Use only with Listed/Certied Information
Technology (Computer) Equipment" or, "Use
only with Listed/Certied ITE Power Supply" or
"Listed Class 2 Power Unit", as applicable and
provided with the charger rating information.
8. During and after use, the battery may take
on heat so one should let the battery cool
down before touching.
9. When using the battery with power tools, do
not allow any foreign objects such as chips or soil
to get into the terminals or grooves of the battery.
10. Keep the battery away from children.
WARNING:
11. Use the Fiskars provided batteries only to
specied products as installing the batteries
to non-compliant products may result in a
re, excessive heat, explosion, or leak of
electrolyte.
12. Have the battery pack serviced only by a
qualied repair service using only identical
replacement parts. This will ensure that the
safety of the product is maintained.
13. If the battery has not been used in a long
time, it should be charged fully before use as
it might be empty.
2.2.2 Forbidden use
WARNING: the following usage of the battery
is forbidden as it may result in re, explosion
and/or risk of injury:
1. Do not use or service a battery pack that is
damaged or modied.
2. Do not expose a battery pack or power tool
to re or excessive temperature. Exposure
to re or temperature above 130 °C (265 °F)
may cause explosion.
3. Do not store, use or charge the battery
when the temperature may reach or exceed
the limit values stated in section 1, product
description of the manual.
4. Do not disassemble or tamper with the
battery pack.
5. Do not subject battery pack to mechanical
shock or place any kind of impact to it.
6. Do not open or mutilate the battery. Do
not squeeze or puncture the battery pack to
avoid electrolyte leakage.
2.2.3 Disposing and shipping the batteries
Please see section 5 related to disposal and
recycling from the manual.
WARNING:
1. Never incinerate the battery pack even if it
is severely damaged or completely worn out
as it can explode in a re.
2. The lithium-ion batteries are classied
as dangerous during transport, so there are
requirements and restrictions affecting the
transport. Please observe the national regu-
lations related to transporting batteries.
3. Tape or mask off open contacts and pack the
battery in such a manner that it cannot move.

4. For commercial transport by third parties or
forwarding agents, special requirements regard-
ing packaging and labeling must be observed.
2.2.4 Tips for maintaining maximum battery life
1. Make sure the battery pack is fully charged prior
to use.
2. Charge the battery before completely discharged.
3. The product should not be stored for more than one
year without using it as the performance of the battery
might be diminished.
4. Do not recharge or keep charging connected to a
fully charged battery.
3. Operating the Battery
3.1 Before using the product
Please see the product manuals of the differ-
ent Fiskars power tools to nd out how one
should use the battery pack with these tools.
• The battery pack requires no assembly.
• Inspect the product carefully to make sure that no
breakage or damage occurred during shipping.
• Do not discard the packing material until you have
carefully inspected and satisfactorily operated the tool.
• If any parts are damaged or missing, please return the
tool to the place of purchase.
• When the inspection has been done, please charge
the battery pack fully before using it.
• The battery features the following safety functions:
protection against overcharge, over-discharge, short
circuit and overheating.
3.2 Charging the battery pack
WARNING: Charge the battery in a dry and
ventilated room, away from combustibles and
ignition sources.
• When charging the battery pack, it is recommended
that you use the USB-C type cable you received when
purchasing a Fiskars power tool.
3.2.1 Battery power indicator

• The battery pack’s power check button has four
battery power indicator lights which show the charge
level of the battery. Press the button to check the
remaining power.
• When the battery has less than 10 % charge, the
remaining 1 LED blinks.
• The lights which are shown when the battery level is
the following:
• 10–25% one led light
• 25–50% two led lights
• 50–75% three led lights
• 75–100% four led lights.
3.2.2 Charging procedure

1. When starting to charge the battery, please discon-
nect any possible external devices.
2. Insert the type-C cable’s connector at one end into
the two-way type-C port of the battery pack.
3. Connect the other end of the charging cable to the
charger plug (not supplied) and connect the charger to
the power supply for charging.
4. During the charging process, the indicators will light up
one by one according to the charged power level (section
3.2.1). When all the battery power indicator lights stay on,
the battery is fully charged. Remove the battery from the
charger and disconnect from the charging cable.
