Smart Trainer Warnings
• Read all instructions carefully before using the trainer. Smart trainers include the
smart bike trainers, direct-drive trainers, and wheel-on trainers.
• This trainer is designed for indoor, home use only. Use the trainer on a flat surface
that is clear of any obstructions.
• The trainer should be used for exercise and fitness purposes only.
• Always use your best judgement, and operate the trainer in a safe manner.
• Always keep children and pets away from the trainer while in use.
• Do not let children play with the trainer, clean the trainer, or perform maintenance on
the trainer.
• Children under the age of 15 shall not use the trainer.
• Children aged 15 years and older or persons with reduced physical, sensory, or
mental capabilities or lack experience and knowledge shall not use this trainer
without proper supervision and instruction concerning the use of the trainer and must
understand the risks associated with use of this trainer.
• Always wear appropriate exercise clothes and cycling shoes.
• For direct-drive and wheel-on trainers, the rear axle must be properly affixed to the
trainer. The bike frame should not touch the trainer.
• For direct-drive trainers, the rear axle must be installed properly. Failure to tighten
and firmly close the quick release lever may result in injury or property damage. To

• Do not use the trainer if the trainer is not working properly.
• Do not cover or otherwise obstruct the trainer's vents and/or fans.
• Do not touch or make contact with the wheels, flywheel, rotating disk, or fans while
using the trainer. These components may become very hot during use.
• When subject to prolonged, extreme use, the enclosure around the trainer's brake,
flywheel, and rotating disk may become very hot. Always allow these components to
cool down after use before touching them.
• When not in use, store the trainer out of reach of children and pets.
• Turn off and unplug the trainer when it is not in use.
• Turn off and unplug the trainer before cleaning or performing any maintenance
procedures.
• Replace worn or damaged parts with Garmin® parts only. Contact a Garmin dealer, or
go to support.garmin.com.
• Garmin does not guarantee the quality of any third-party accessory such as pedal
extenders used in conjunction with the trainer. Garmin does not guarantee that such
use of third-party accessories will not damage your bike or the trainer. Garmin is not
responsible for any damage to your bike or the trainer, any injuries, or other damages
associated with such use of third-party accessories. Property damage due to the use
of third-party accessories is not covered under the warranty.
Magnet Warning
The product contains magnets that may interfere with medical devices. Consult your
physician and medical device manufacturer with questions.

Trainer Notices
• Improper use and/or maintenance of the trainer will void the warranty.
• To avoid imbalance or vibration while using the trainer, do not drop the trainer during

• Do not use the trainer in damp areas. Avoid exposing the trainer to perspiration,
condensation, and precipitation. Store the trainer in a dry area at room temperature.
• Wipe off the trainer after every use. The trainer should be cleaned only with a dry
cloth and should not be exposed to cleaning solvents or abrasives.
• Keep the trainer clean and free of debris.
• Inspect the nuts and bolts on the trainer for proper tightness on a regular basis.

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY HAVE

PROVINCE). GARMIN DOES NOT EXCLUDE, LIMIT OR SUSPEND OTHER LEGAL RIGHTS
YOU MAY HAVE UNDER THE LAWS OF YOUR STATE (OR COUNTRY OR PROVINCE).

The warranty period for new Tacx products is 2 years, calculated from the date of
purchase, or, if the product is not delivered immediately on the date of purchase, the
date that the product is delivered. The limited warranty only applies to the first owner of
the product and only if an original proof of purchase can be furnished. If you have any

Limited Warranty
1. Should a material and/or manufacturing defect occur within the warranty period,
Tacx will repair the defect and/or replace the defective part/product at no additional
cost. Should such repair or replacement not be possible, or cannot reasonably be
expected of Tacx, Tacx reserves the right to reimburse the market value of the part or
product that has been returned.
2. If a part or product is replaced within the warranty period, the original warranty
period will still apply to that replaced part or product. The original warranty period is
never extended or renewed by part or product replacement.
3. When a defect arises, Tacx must be notified in writing as soon as possible, but
no later than two months after the defect has been discovered or should have been
discovered.
4. This warranty is invalid and will not apply if the defect is the result of:
a) maintenance work/repair work not carried out by Garmin® or Tacx;
b) improper use of the part or product and/or, use of the part or product for a purpose
other than the purpose for which the part or product is intended;
c) the use of parts that are not original Tacx parts;
d) changes to the product, which have been implemented without permission from
Garmin or Tacx;
e) normal wear and tear and/or poor/improper maintenance;
f) external influences, such as external electrical interference or moisture penetration
(perspiration, condensation, precipitation or others).
5. This warranty does not apply to damage to the product which occurs while the
product is being shipped/transported.

Warranty Procedure
• Contact a Garmin and/or Tacx authorized service facility in the original country of
purchase, or contact support.garmin.com to have the issue analyzed. If you are in the
United States, you can also call 1-800-800-1020.
• If, after the analysis, Garmin determines the product is defective, follow the
instructions provided by Garmin. A warranty claim will only be accepted after receipt
of the original proof of purchase and, where applicable, a fully completed service form
from a Garmin authorized service facility.
• The decision on whether a defect in a part or product exists and is covered by the
warranty rests solely with Garmin.
• If the part or product is covered by the warranty, then in principle it will be repaired or
replaced without charge within 30 days of receipt.
• The purchaser must pay any costs related to shipping the part or product to the Tacx
dealer or to Garmin for analysis/inspection.
Liability
• Tacx B.V. reserves the right to modify, improve or replace returned products with a
similar or equivalent product without prior notification. Tacx is not, however, obliged to
improve the product or to fit new elements.
• Tacx B.V. does not guarantee that the supplied software will work on all operating
systems.
• Tacx B.V or Tacx’s distributors are authorized to replace defective parts with similar
parts of equivalent quality, without prejudice to Tacx’s authority to opt for a monetary
reimbursement to the value of the product that has been returned.
• Tacx is not responsible for damage, including consequential loss, arising from or
associated with the use of its products, or for damage to products during shipment.
Notes
1. ONLY return the defective part if requested to do so. Do not return frames when they
are not defective.
2. Always ensure that the part concerned is well packaged. For more information, go to
support.garmin.com.
3. Check that your bicycle is assembled correctly before every use and is tightened
correctly as instructed in the manual.
Online Auction Purchases: Online auction confirmations are not accepted for warranty
verification. To obtain warranty service, an original or copy of the sales receipt from
the original retailer is required. Garmin will not replace missing components from any
package purchased through an online auction.
International Purchases: A separate warranty may be provided by international
distributors for devices purchased outside the United States depending on the country.
If applicable, this warranty is provided by the local in-country distributor and this
distributor provides local service for your device. Distributor warranties are only valid in
the area of intended distribution.
Australian Purchases: Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under
the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major
failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to
be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. The
benefits under our Limited Warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies under

2. Si une pièce ou un produit est remplacé pendant la période de garantie, la période de
garantie d'origine s'applique aussi à cette pièce ou à ce produit remplacé. La période
de garantie d'origine n'est jamais prolongée ni renouvelée suite au remplacement d'une
pièce ou d'un produit.
3. Lorsqu'une défaillance survient, vous devez avertir Tacx par écrit dès que possible,
au plus tard deux mois après que la défaillance a été constatée ou qu'elle aurait dû être
constatée.
4. Cette garantie n'est pas valide et ne s'applique pas si le défaut résulte des cas
suivants:
a) travaux de maintenance/réparation non effectués par Garmin® ou Tacx;
b) utilisation inappropriée de la pièce ou du produit et/ou utilisation de la pièce ou du
produit à une fin autre que celle pour laquelle la pièce ou le produit est prévu;
c) utilisation de pièces qui ne sont pas des pièces Tacx originales;
d) modifications apportées au produit, qui ont été effectuées sans l'autorisation de
Garmin ou de Tacx;
e) usure normale et/ou entretien médiocre ou incorrect;
f) influences externes, telles que des interférences électriques externes ou la
pénétration d'humidité (transpiration, condensation, précipitations ou autres).
5. Cette garantie ne s'applique pas aux dommages subis par le produit pendant son
expédition/transport.

• Indossare sempre adeguati abiti da ginnastica e scarpe da ciclismo.
• Per i rulli da allenamento bici a trasmissione diretta e wheel-on, fissare correttamente
l'assale posteriore al rullo. Il telaio della bici non deve toccare il rullo.
• Per i rulli da allenamento bici a trasmissione diretta, installare correttamente l'assale
posteriore. Non serrare e chiudere saldamente la leva di sgancio rapido potrebbe

Garanzia
La garanzia è prestata dal Venditore:
• al Consumatore ossia, ai sensi dell'art. 3, D.Lgs. 6 ottobre 2005, alla "persona fisica
che agisce per scopi estranei all'attività imprenditoriale o professionale eventualmente
svolta", sulla base della medesima norma istitutiva del così detto Codice del consumo.
In base a detta legge la durata della garanzia è di 24 mesi decorrenti dalla data di
consegna del prodotto al Consumatore. La garanzia copre solo i difetti di conformità o
d'origine, cioè preesistenti alla consegna del bene al Consumatore e non copre i difetti
legati ad un'errata installazione o ad errato uso dello stesso;
• al Professionista, ossia ai sensi del citato art. 3 206/05, alla "persona fisica o
giuridica che agisce nell'esercizio della propria attività imprenditoriale o professionale,
ovvero un suo intermediario" nei limiti di quanto previsto dagli artt. 1490 ss c.c. e nei
termini di cui all'art. 1495 c.c.
Garanzia Prodotto
Il Prodotto, a cui è riferita la presente garanzia, è garantito esente da difetti originari
di conformità per un periodo di 24 mesi dalla data di consegna all'utente finale,
conformemente a quanto previsto dal D.Lgs. 206/05.
La preghiamo, prima di prendere possesso del prodotto, di verificare, assieme al
Venditore, se il prodotto è conforme alle Sue aspettative. Laddove il Venditore si occupi
anche della installazione del Prodotto, La preghiamo, inoltre, di verificarne il corretto
funzionamento, eventualmente eseguendo una prova d'uso reale.
Procedura
Qualora intenda avvalersi dei diritti di cui alle presenti condizioni di garanzia, la
preghiamo di visitare il sito web di Garmin® Italia (www.garmin.it) onde ottenere le
informazioni circa l'esatta modalità di consegna o spedizione dei prodotti.
Con le limitazioni specificate in seguito, e qualora sussistano le condizioni per
riconoscere la garanzia ai sensi del D.Lgs. 206/05, il prodotto verrà riparato senza
nessun costo relativo alle spese strettamente necessarie per la riparazione e quindi
rispedito in porto franco al Venditore.
Resta fermo quanto disposto dall'art. 130, D.Lgs. 206/05 in particolare quanto
all'oggettiva impossibilità o l'eccessiva onerosità della riparazione.
Per i prodotti in garanzia il Consumatore nulla deve al Venditore a titolo di contributo
spese di trasporto o di gestione. Laddove il prodotto dovesse essere inviato
nonostante il periodo di garanzia sia scaduto ovvero risulti che trattasi di difetto non
coperto dalla Garanzia, ovvero il prodotto sia privo di difetti, Garmin Italia addebiterà al
Venditore i costi del trasporto, amministrativi e tecnici sostenuti.
Limiti nel caso di intervento in garanzia
La garanzia di Garmin Italia non copre i difetti originari manifestatisi oltre il termine
di durata della garanzia, i difetti che non preesistevano alla consegna del prodotto,
i guasti derivanti da negligenza o trascuratezza nell'uso, da errata installazione
o manutenzione, erroneo immagazzinaggio e/o conservazione, da manutenzione
effettuata da personale non autorizzato, da danni di trasporto, corrosione o per
strumenti in cui il numero di matricola sia stato in qualche modo alterato o
cancellato. Garmin Italia non può essere ritenuta responsabile per danni causati
durante l'installazione o come conseguenza di un'installazione scorretta. La presente
Garanzia non copre i controlli periodici, gli allineamenti e le calibrazioni originarie e
successive, prove in mare o su terra, o spiegazioni pratiche sull'uso del prodotto a
meno che non siano specificatamente necessari per il ripristino funzionale della parte
sostituita coperta dalla garanzia.
La garanzia non copre altresì difetti derivanti da incidenti, calamità naturali od altre
cause fra le quali, a titolo meramente esemplificativo, pioggia, grandine o fulmini.
La garanzia non copre i danni conseguenti a sovraccarichi di corrente dovuti alla rete
cui il prodotto dovesse essere collegato o causati da altre apparecchiature, sistemi o
componenti in occasione di impropria connessione o uso non autorizzato o permesso
del prodotto ivi compreso nel caso di eventuale utilizzo di un caricabatteria di modello
differente rispetto a quello fornito con il prodotto. I materiali soggetti ad usura (inclusi
fusibili, batterie, cinghie, ventole o le parti meccaniche connesse) sono specificata-
mente esclusi dalla presente Garanzia.
L'eventuale rottura di sigilli o la precedente manomissione del prodotto escludono la
possibilità di avvalersi della Garanzia.
La presente Garanzia non copre le ore di lavoro straordinario. La Garanzia Garmin Italia
non copre eventuali differenze di colorazione, di materiale o aspetto sussistenti tra
quanto a titolo indicativo, illustrato nella pubblicità, nei cataloghi o su Internet, che non
siano state oggetto di specifico reclamo al momento della consegna del prodotto.
Tutti i prodotti Garmin Italia sono considerati ausili allo svolgimento dell'attività a cui
sono destinati. È quindi esclusivamente responsabilità dell'utente usare la prudenza e il
giudizio necessari durante il loro utilizzo.
Garmin Italia non risponderà dell'eventuale inosservanza delle normali regole di
diligenza e prudenza ed altresì, nel caso di utilizzo a bordo di autoveicoli, velivoli,
natanti o di altri mezzi di trasporto non risponderà della violazione delle norme,
disposizioni delle autorità o regolamenti disciplinanti la loro circolazione e non
risponderà dei danni eventualmente causati a terzi ed alla persona del Consumatore.
Assistenza oltre i termini di garanzia
Qualora il prodotto in Suo possesso manifestasse problemi di funzionamento oltre i
termini di garanzia, ovvero per quanto entro i 24 mesi di vita fosse stato danneggiato
o abbisognasse comunque di interventi tecnici per cause che non rientrano fra quelle
coperte dalla garanzia, La preghiamo di contattare telefonicamente il Customer Care
Garmin al numero indicato sul sito www.garmin.it al fine di concordare la modalità di
invio dello strumento per riparazione o verifica.
Ricordiamo che in caso di assistenza fuori garanzia le spese di trasporto sono a carico
del Consumatore, come pure i costi di riparazione, verifica, aggiornamento software o
eventuale reset delle apparecchiature.
Acquisti tramite aste online: i prodotti acquistati tramite aste online non sono soggetti
a sconti o offerte speciali da parte di Garmin. La conferma di acquisto tramite asta

Smart-Trainer-Warnungen
• Lesen Sie sich vor der Verwendung des Trainers alle Anweisungen aufmerksam
durch. Zu Smart-Trainern gehören die Smart-Indoor-Trainer, die Direktantriebstrainer
und die Wheel-on-Indoor-Trainer.
• Dieser Trainer ist nur für die private Verwendung im Gebäude vorgesehen. Verwenden
Sie den Trainer auf einer flachen, freien Oberfläche.
• Der Trainer sollte nur für Sport und Fitness verwendet werden.
• Handeln Sie beim Betrieb des Trainers immer nach Ihrem besten Ermessen und

mit dem Trainer in Berührung kommen.
• Bei Direktantriebstrainern muss die Hinterachse ordnungsgemäß installiert werden.
Wenn der Schnellwechselhebel nicht angezogen und sicher geschlossen wird,

• Verwenden Sie den Trainer nicht, wenn er nicht ordnungsgemäß funktioniert.
• Decken Sie die Lüftungsschlitze und/oder Gebläse des Trainers nicht ab und

• Berühren Sie bei Verwendung des Trainers nicht die Räder, das Schwungrad, die
drehende Scheibe oder das Gebläse und kommen Sie auch nicht damit in Kontakt.
Diese Komponenten werden während der Verwendung evtl. sehr heiß.
• Bei einer längeren, extremen Nutzung des Trainers können das Gehäuse um die
Bremse des Trainers, das Schwungrad und die drehende Scheibe sehr heiß werden.
Lassen Sie diese Komponenten nach der Verwendung stets abkühlen, bevor Sie sie
berühren.
• Wenn der Trainer nicht verwendet wird, bewahren Sie ihn außerhalb der Reichweite
von Kindern und Haustieren auf.
• Schalten Sie den Trainer aus und trennen Sie ihn von der Stromversorgung, wenn er

Fahrrad oder Trainer, für Verletzungen oder für andere Schäden im Zusammenhang
mit der Verwendung von Zubehör von Drittanbietern verantwortlich. Sachschäden
aufgrund der Verwendung von Zubehör von Drittanbietern werden nicht von der
Garantie abgedeckt.

Der Gewährleistungszeitraum für neue Tacx Produkte beträgt 2Jahre und wird ab dem

Gewährleistung gilt nur für den Erstbesitzer des Produkts und nur dann, wenn der

Eingeschränkte Gewährleistung
1. Sollte während des Gewährleistungszeitraums ein Material- und/oder
Herstellungsfehler auftreten, wird der Fehler durch Tacx ohne zusätzliche Kosten
repariert und/oder das fehlerhafte Teil/Produkt wird ersetzt. Falls eine solche
Reparatur bzw. ein solcher Ersatz nicht möglich ist oder nicht vernünftigerweise von
Tacx erwartet werden kann, behält Tacx sich das Recht vor, den Marktwert des Teils
oder des Produkts zu erstatten, das zurückgegeben wurde.
2. Falls ein Teil oder Produkt während des Gewährleistungszeitraums ersetzt
wird, gilt für das ersetzte Teil oder Produkt weiterhin der ursprüngliche
Gewährleistungszeitraum. Der ursprüngliche Gewährleistungszeitraum wird durch den
Ersatz eines Teils oder Produkts niemals verlängert oder erneuert.
3. Wenn ein Fehler auftritt, muss Tacx baldmöglichst, jedoch nicht später als
zwei Monate, nachdem der Fehler erkannt wurde oder hätte erkannt werden sollen,
schriftlich darüber informiert werden.
4. Diese Gewährleistung ist ungültig und gilt nicht, wenn der Fehler auf Folgendes
zurückzuführen ist:
a) Wartungsarbeiten/Reparaturarbeiten, die nicht von Garmin® oder Tacx durchgeführt
wurden
b) Unsachgemäße Verwendung des Teils oder Produkts und/oder Verwendung des
Teils oder Produkts für einen Zweck, für den das Teil oder Produkt nicht vorgesehen ist
c) Verwendung von Teilen, bei denen es sich nicht um Originalteile von Tacx handelt
d) Änderungen am Produkt, die ohne Erlaubnis seitens Garmin oder Tacx vorgenommen
wurden
e) Normale Abnutzung und/oder schlechte/unsachgemäße Wartung
f) Externe Einflüsse, z.B. externe elektrische Störungen oder Durchfeuchtung (Schweiß,
Kondensation, Niederschlag o.ä.)
5. Diese Gewährleistung gilt nicht für Schäden am Produkt, die während des Versands/
Transports des Produkts entstehen.
Garantieverfahren
• Wenden Sie sich an eine von Garmin und/oder Tacx autorisierte Serviceeinrichtung in
dem Land, in dem Sie das Produkt ursprünglich erworben haben, oder wenden Sie sich
