Introduction
Please read the following information carefully before using the product in an
appropriate manner and keep this Quick Start Guide for future reference.
For further information, especially to download the safety instructions and this
Quick Start Guide, for the latest drivers and rmware as well as the SSD utility
storage management software, please visit

KIOXIA SSD INSTALLATION
If the installation procedure diers from that of your device, follow the
installation instructions for your device.
1. To minimize static electricity, touch a metal surface before handling the SSD.
2. Before using accessories like a heatsink, be careful not to remove the labels
on the SSD and/or make them illegible.
3. Turn o the PC power and remove all the cables.
4. Remove the PC cover.
5. Remove the battery in case of a laptop.
6. This NVMe SSD requires a motherboard to support the M.2 2280
specication. Check your motherboard manual for M.2 size support. Please
consult your motherboard/laptop manual for installation instructions for
your particular host platform.
After removing the screw for xing the NVMe SSD to the motherboard,
insert the SSD into the M.2 slot and then reattach the screw to x the SSD.
Do not overtighten it, otherwise the motherboard may be damaged.
7. Install the PC cover, or battery in case of a laptop, and reconnect all the
cables in the original way.
8. Please turn on the PC power. The SSD is unformatted at the time of purchase.
Formatting is required before use.
Please contact your operating system (OS) vendor for instructions on how to
format the drive.
In some cases, formatting may not be necessary, such as when installing an
OS onto the SSD or creating a clone of an existing drive.
Please conrm whether formatting is required in your use case.

Do NOT touch the product and/or electronic components
while it is hot to prevent skin burns upon contact.

during operation.

For Australia and New Zealand:
Warranty Period: Five (5) years from date of Purchase.
How to Obtain Service: Your proof of purchase is required to receive warranty
service. If the Product fails during normal and proper use within its warranty
period, return the Product to your place of purchase for replacement or refund. If
your place of purchase is no longer trading contact the Support Centre.
The return of your product will result in loss of any user-generated data. It
includes, but not limited to, for example: music, photos, videos, and other
electronic documents. Please ensure you have made a back-up copy of any data
saved on your product.
Consumer Guarantees (Australia only)
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the
Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled:
• to cancel your service contract with us; and
• to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced
value.
