SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the instructions carefully before use.
Take special care when children are near the device!
Do not use the device for purposes other than those for
which it was intended.
Do not immerse the device, cable or plug in water or other
liquids!
Do not leave the appliance unattended during operation.
Always unplug the device when not in use.
Never use a damaged device, including one with a damaged
cord or plug, in which case have it repaired at an authorised
service centre.
Use of accessories not recommended by the manufacturer
may cause damage to the appliance, re or personal injury.
Do not use the device outdoors.
Do not hang the cable on sharp edges or allow it to come
into contact with hot surfaces.
Do not place the device near electric or gas cookers, burners,
ovens, etc.
Do not touch the device’s hot surface while it is working.
When opening, use only the handle intended for this purpose.
Before cleaning, rst unplug the device from the mains socket
and wait until it has cooled down completely.
Maintain the highest carefulness when opening the device
during toasting, as hot fumes can escape from the sides of
the heating plates!
Use the device on a smooth and stable surface.
The device should be connected to a mains socket outlet
with a grounding pin.

This equipment may be used by children of at least 8 years of
age and by persons of diminished physical, mental capacity
and lack of experience and knowledge of the equipment if
supervision or instruction is provided regarding the safe use
of the equipment so that the hazards involved are under-
stood. Cleaning and maintenance must not be performed by
children, unless they are over 8 years old and supervised by
an adult. Unsupervised children can not perform cleaning/
maintenance of the product.
Keep the device and its cord out of reach of children under
8 years of age.
The appliance is not a toy and should not be used as such
by children.
The equipment is not designed to operate using external
timers or a separate control.
The appliance is intended for domestic use only.
Clean the device, in particular parts being in direct contact
with food, before rst use, immediately after nishing work
and if the device has not been used for a long time. The
procedure is described in details in the “CLEANING AND
MAINTENANCE” section.
CAUTION! Hot surface! The symbol placed
on the appliance indicates that its compo-
nents may become hot during operation.
The temperature of the device’s surfaces may be higher
during operation.
Do not place the device near ammable materials such as
curtains, tablecloths etc., because this may lead to a re.

Do not pull the plug out of the power socket by pulling the
cord.
Do not connect the plug to the power socket with wet hands.
For the safety of children, please do not leave freely acces-
sible parts of the packaging (plastic bags, cardboard boxes,
polystyrene, etc.).
WARNING! Do not allow children to play with the
lm. Danger of suocation!
WARNING! Overheated fat may ignite. Be espe-
cially careful!

Depending on one’s needs, the type of fried food as well as its size and quanty, the grill can
be used in two conguraons:
-
with plates closed – ensuring thorough frying on both sides at the same me, the grilling process is then
strictly controlled, the frying me is short and food is roasted to an almost idencal degree on both sides
-with open plates – ensuring grilling is most similar to natural process of low heat cooking, doubled grill
surface.
BEFORE FIRST USE
1. Remove the device from the packaging, remove all labels, packages, llers and shipping safe-
guards.
2. Check that the power parameters on the appliance’s rang plate correspond to the parameters
of your power supply network.
3. Open the top cover (2) by releasing the cover lock (5) to the open posion. The open state of the
top cover is indicated with the released hook.
4. Thoroughly wipe the grill heang plates (3) and the grease tray (11) with a damp cloth, and then
wipe it dry.
5. Preheat the heang plates before using the grill. To do this, place the device on hard, dry, level
and horizontal surface and connect it to the mains. Aer 5 minutes, unplug the device from the
mains and wait for it to cool down completely. During the heang process, a slight smoke and an
unpleasant smell may occur; this will disappear with further use. This is not a dangerous situaon
and does not mean the toaster is faulty. This is a normal occurrence for new devices.
6. Wipe the grill hotplates again with a damp cloth, then wipe it dry.
