BEFORE FIRST USE
• Remove any labels, stickers or packaging from the appliance.
• Before using the iron for the first time, or if it’s not been used for a long time, iron a scrap piece of
cotton (an old towel is ideal) to remove any accumulated residues.
• Note: It is normal for the iron to emit a bit of smoke initially—this will stop shortly as any
manufacturing residues burn off
• Note: You may notice a small amount of water in the tank during initial use. This is a result of quality
control testing and is normal.
FILLING/REFILLING
Do not use water with any additives. This will reduce the longevity of the appliance.
1. Remove the reservoir by pulling it away from the body of the steam generator using the indented
grips on the side of the Reservoir Tank (5) (Fig A).
2. Fill the reservoir to the max mark. Do not exceed the max mark.
3. Refit the Reservoir Tank (5).
USE
• Slide the Iron Docking Lock (4) to the unlock position.
• Remove the Iron and the Iron Rest (10) from the Docking plate (6).
• Seat the Iron Rest (10) on a flat and stable surface.
• Rest the Iron on the Iron Rest (10).
• Plug into the mains.
• Press Power Button (1) on the iron to switch on the appliance. The Lo/Hi Button (2) will flash until
default mode (Low) has reached operating temperature.
• Note: By default, the iron will go into Low power mode.
HEAT SETTINGS
This steam generator has 2 SimplySet™ heat settings. By default the iron will be on the low setting when
switching on.

Forward Unlocked Press + Hold Continuous Steam
Back Locked / Continuous Steam
Forward Unlocked Press + Hold (x2) Steam Shot
Note: Steam Shot can be activated every 10 seconds.
STEAM IRONING
1. Set the temperature control to HI
2. Squeeze the steam trigger to produce steam, release it to stop.
Note: When you rst start your steam generator and pull the trigger for steam ironing, there will be
a delay as your steam generator pumps water from the reservoir to prime the system. This is normal
and may take 20-30 seconds. This will also occur after relling the reservoir.
DRY IRONING
You can dry iron by just not pressing the steam button, but if you want to make sure you do not press it
accidentally, then you should iron with an empty reservoir. You can do your dry ironing first, then switch
off, fill the reservoir and do your steam ironing.
VERTICAL STEAMING
Remove wrinkles from hanging clothes, hanging curtains, and furnishing fabrics.
• Check that there is adequate ventilation behind the fabric, otherwise moisture may build up, causing
mildew.
• Ensure there is nothing behind the fabric that may be damaged by the steam.
• Ensure that pockets, turn-ups, and cuffs are empty.
1. Check that the temperature control is at HI
2. Hold the iron close to (but not touching) the fabric. Hold it well away for delicate fabrics.
