INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE - Original instructions
Please read carefully before using the dryer. Available also on www.valera.com
CAUTION
• Important: In order to guarantee additional protection, it is recommended that a
differential breaker with an intervention current not greater than 30 mA is installed
in the electrical system which feeds the device. For further information, contact a
qualied electrician.
• Make sure the unit is perfectly dry before using it.
• WARNING: Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, shower, basins or other
vessels containing water.
• This appliance can be used by children of 8 years and over, and by persons with
limited physical, sensory or mental abilities or who lack the relevant experience
and knowledge, only if they are suitably supervised or have been instructed in safe
appliance use and made aware of the associated risks.
• Do not allow children to play with the appliance.
• Children must not perform cleaning and maintenance procedures unless supervised.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or a similarly qualied person in order to avoid a hazard. Do not use your unit if
it is not working properly. Do not try to repair this electrical unit yourself, rather contact
an authorized technician.
• When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of
water presents a hazard even when the appliance is switched off.
• Plug the hairdryer into an alternating current outlet only, and make sure that the
voltage for your electricity supply is the same as that indicated on the rating plate of
the appliance.
• Do not immerse in water or other liquids.
• Never put the appliance in a place where it could fall into water or in other
liquids.
• Do not try to recover an electric appliance fallen into water, but unplug it
immediately from the mains supply.
• Turn the unit off when you put it down.
• Unplug the appliance when not in use, but never do it by pulling the cord.
• Remember to check regularly that the air inlet and outlet grills are clean.
• Let the hairdryer always cool down before storing it. Do not wrap the cord around the
appliance but roll it not too tightly around itself.
• This unit must only be used for the purposes for which it is expressly intended. Any
other use is to be considered improper and therefore dangerous. The manufacturer
accepts no responsibility for damage caused by improperor erroneous use.
• This hairdryer is designed for professional use.
• When set to maximum temperature values, the appliance produces very hot air. To
avoid damaging the hair or skin when using the product in a domestic environment,

WARNING: never use the appliance without the air intake lter in place. If dust, hair and other dirt is sucked in
because the lter is not in place, the hair dryer may malfunction.

Setting the appliance’s temperature and air ow – Dual
Setting
The Dual Setting function enables selection of 2 different
temperatureandairspeedcongurations.
- CARE:9temperature/airowcombinationsforne,delicate
hair.
- MAX:9temperature/airowcombinationsforstrong,coarse
hair.
Toselectthecombination,settheswitch(g.9)onthesetting
required(ICAREorIIMAX)
ThesettingLEDs(g.8and10)showthelevelselected:
-ICARE →greenLED
-IIMAX → white LED
COLD function
This function is used to set the hair style after styling. Press the
button(7,g.1).
Memory function
Withthisfunction,whentheapplianceisswitchedoffthelast

temperatureandairowcombinationsettingissavedandset
again at the next switch-on.
ABT - Air Boost Technology
This boosts the air ow to improve the appliance’s styling
performance. When using the hair dryer, take care not to
obstructtheairintakeholesinitscasing(16,g.1).
Dirty lter alert function (If included in purchased model)
After20hoursofuse,theLED(8,g.1)turnsorangeandstarts
toblink(g.2).Thisalertstheuserthatautomaticcleaningof
thelterisrequired.
Automatic lter cleaning function (If included in purchased
model)
Thehairdryerhasafunctionwhichcleansthelterautomatically
byreversingtheappliance’sairowdirection.
WARNING: remove any accessories (nozzles, diffuser, etc.)
from the appliance before activating the automatic cleaning. Do
notobstructthelterattherearortheair outletgrille. When
cleaningthelter,keepthehairdryerwellawayfromdust,hairs
orothermaterials,astheappliancewillbedamaged ifdirt is
sucked in.
Proceed as follows:
Ifoff,switchtheapplianceon
- Holddownthebutton(8,g.2)foratleast2sec.(g.3).The
cleaning system is activated automatically
- Duringthereverseoftheairow(g.4)theLED(8, g.3)
shines orange without blinking.
- Oncethecleaningcycleiscompleted,theLED(8,g.2)turns
green for 2 seconds and then goes out.
Cleaning the lter (by hand)
Toremovedustandhairsfromtheinsideandoutsideofthelter,
removeit(13,g.5)andbrushitthoroughlywiththeprovided
brush(14,g.6).
Theltercanalsobewashedinrunningwater.
WARNING:
-after washing the lter, make sure it is perfectly dry
before tting it back on the hair dryer. (g. 7)
-do not use the appliance without the air intake lter tted.
If dust, hairs or other impurities are sucked in because
the lter is not in place, this may cause hair dryer
malfunctions.
Rotocord function
TheRotocorddevice(15,g.1)preventsthepowercordfrom
becoming twisted.
ACCESSORIES
Air concentrator or nozzle (9 and 10, g. 1)
This is the ideal accessory for drying hair quickly and
allows excellent results when styling with a brush. With this
concentrator, youcanprecisely direct thehotor cold air ow
onto individual locks of hair.
Diffuser (for appliances with this accessory) (12, g. 1)
The ideal accessory for providing volume when styling and
giving natural softness to curly or permed hair.
Touch Me nozzle (11, g. 1 )
Thisaccessory’ssurfacedoesnotheatupduringuse.Theuser
can therefore touch the nozzle to direct or remove it without
being burnt.
IONIC CARE
(only if applicable to this model)
This function is associated with a generator that produces
millions of purifying negative ions.
What are ions?
Ions are electrically charged particles found in nature.
Negatively charged ions help to purify the air by neutralising the
positivelychargedions that,bycontrast,reduceitsqualityby
retaining in the atmosphere many polluting agents.
Improved hydration of hair
Negatively charged ions help to maintain the proper hydration
of your hair
In particular, they micronize the water particles present on
newly-washedhair,enablingthestemtoabsorbmoreinorderto
restorethenaturalbalanceofyourhair’shumidity.
Conditioning effect on the hair
Improvedhydrationassistswiththeconditioningofyourhair,has
aregeneratingeffectandmakesitsofterandeasiertocomb,
with greater volume and shine.
No electrostatic charge or “y away”
Negativelychargedionshelptoreducestaticelectricity,the“y
away” effect and unwanted frizzles.
Purifying effect
The negatively charged ions emitted by the hairdryer ensure that
the particles polluting the air (positive or neutral charges) are
attractedtoeachother,becomeheavy andfall tothe ground
undertheforceofgravity,therebypurifyingtheair.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning always unplug the hairdryer from the mains
supply.
You can clean your appliance with a cloth dampened with water.
Do not immerse the appliance in water or in other liquids!
Thehairdryershouldbeprotectedfromdust.Whennecessary,
clean the air inlet and outlet grills using a soft brush.
ATTENTION: The cleaning of hairdryers with detergents,
solvents, alcohol and other chemical products is strictly
prohibited. Subject to alterations
GUARANTEE
