IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
READ CAREFULLY AND KEEP FOR
FUTURE REFERENCE
This appliance can be used by
children aged from 8 years and above
and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a
safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with
the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by

and supervised. Keep the appliance

Never use a power base other than the
one supplied with the appliance.
Never ll the kettle above the MAX
marking. If the kettle is overlled,
boiling water may be ejected.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must
be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualied
persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• This appliance generates heat during use. Adequate
precaution must be taken to prevent the risk of burns,
scalds, res or other damage to persons or property
caused by touching the exterior whilst in use or during
cooling.
• Never use this appliance for anything other than its
intended use. This appliance is for household use only.

kettle for it to operate correctly.

FITTING OF A PLUG - FOR U.K. AND IRELAND ONLY
This appliance must be earthed.
If the plug is not suitable for the socket outlets in your home, it
can be removed and replaced by a plug of the correct type.
If the fuse in a moulded plug needs to be changed, the fuse
cover must be retted. The appliance must not be used without
the fuse cover tted.
If the plug is unsuitable, it should be dismantled and removed
from the supply cord and an appropriate plug tted as detailed.
If you remove the plug it must not be connected to a 13 amp
socket and the plug must be disposed of immediately.
If the terminals in the plug are not marked or if you are unsure
about the installation of the plug please contact a qualied
electrician.

BEFORE FIRST USE
Remove any packaging and promotional material from
your kettle and position it on a stable, secure, dry and
level work surface away from the edge.
Before connecting to a power source, make sure your
mains supply voltage is the same as the one indicated on
the appliance. Connect the plug to a suitable power outlet
and make sure that the power cord does not overhang
the work surface. Excess power cord can be stored in the
power base.
Remove the kettle from the power base. Fill it to the
maximum mark.
Place the kettle back onto the power base. Switch the
kettle on, allow it to boil then discard the water. Repeat
twice. This will remove any residue left over from the
manufacturing process.
USING YOUR KETTLE
1. Remove the kettle from the power base and ll it with
water either through the spout or through the opened
lid. Don’t overll the kettle and always ensure that
there is sufcient water in the kettle (approx. 250ml)
for it to operate correctly (gure 1).
2. Check the level with the kettle on its power base
(gure 2).
3. If removed, ret the lid and then switch the kettle on
by moving the switch to the down position. Make sure
that the lid is closed correctly to ensure safe operation
(gure 3).
4. When the water reaches boiling point, the kettle will
switch off automatically (gure 4).
5. You may also switch the kettle off manually at any
time by moving the switch to the up position (gure 5).
Always use caution when carrying the kettle when it is full
of boiling water and when pouring it.
IF THE KETTLE BOILS DRY
If your kettle is operated with insufcient water a built
in safety device will automatically switch it back off
preventing damage. If this should happen:
• Unplug your kettle and allow it to cool. When your
kettle has cooled down sufciently the safety device
will reset itself.
• Once the safety device has reset, rell your kettle with
cold water and use it as normal.
CLEANING
Never immerse any part of the appliance or power cord
and plug in water or any other liquid.
1. Unplug the kettle from the mains supply socket and
allow it to completely cool down before cleaning or
descaling it.
2. Clean the exterior surface of the kettle with a damp
cloth and then polish with a soft dry cloth. Do not use
steel wool pads or harsh/abrasive cleaners.
3. Descale your kettle regularly to keep it working
efciently. Use a descaling product following the
manufacturer’s instructions carefully.
CLEANING THE FILTER
• Unplug the kettle from the mains supply socket and
allow it to completely cool down.
• Open the lid and remove the lter from behind the
spout (gure 6).
• Rinse the lter under a tap whilst brushing it with a
soft brush (gure 7).
• In hard water areas it may be necessary to descale
the lter using a descaling agent. Use a descaling
product following the manufacturer’s instructions
carefully.
• The lter may be washed safely in a dishwasher.
• Ret the lter back into the kettle.

purchase as described in this document.
During this guaranteed period, if in the unlikely event
the appliance no longer functions due to a design or

of purchase, with your till receipt and a copy of this
guarantee.
The rights and benets under this guarantee are
additional to your statutory rights, which are not affected
by this guarantee. Only Jarden Consumer Solutions
(Europe) Limited (“JCS (Europe)”) has the right to change
these terms.
JCS (Europe) undertakes within the guarantee period to
repair or replace the appliance, or any part of appliance
found to be not working properly free of charge provided
that:
• you promptly notify the place of purchase or JCS
(Europe) of the problem; and
• the appliance has not been altered in any way or
subjected to damage, misuse, abuse, repair or
alteration by a person other than a person authorised
by JCS (Europe).
Faults that occur through, improper use, damage, abuse,
use with incorrect voltage, acts of nature, events beyond
the control of JCS (Europe), repair or alteration by a
person other than a person authorised by JCS (Europe)
or failure to follow instructions for use are not covered
by this guarantee. Additionally, normal wear and tear,
including, but not limited to, minor discoloration and
scratches are not covered by this guarantee.
The rights under this guarantee shall only apply to the
original purchaser and shall not extend to commercial or
communal use.

UTILISATION DE VOTRE BOUILLOIRE
1. Enlevez la bouilloire de sa base et remplissez-la
avec de l’eau par son bec ou après avoir ouvert
le couvercle. Ne dépassez pas la marque de
remplissage maximal et assurez-vous que la bouilloire
dispose d’un minimum d’eau (environ 250 ml) an
d’assurer un fonctionnement correct (gure 1).
2. Vériez le niveau alors que la bouilloire repose sur sa
base (gure 2).
3. Assurez-vous que le couvercle est fermé
correctement an d’assurer un fonctionnement sûr
lorsque la bouilloire est en marche (gure 3).
4. Lorsque l’eau atteint le point d’ébullition, la bouilloire
s’arrête automatiquement (gure 4).
5. Vous pouvez également mettre la bouilloire en
marche manuellement à tout moment (gure 5).
SI LA BOUILLOIRE CHAUFFE À VIDE
Si votre bouilloire fonctionne avec une quantité d’eau
insufsante, elle s’arrête automatiquement an d’éviter
tout dommage. Dans ce cas :
• Débranchez la bouilloire et laissez-la refroidir.
Lorsque la bouilloire a sufsamment refroidi, le
dispositif de sécurité se réinitialise.
• Une fois le dispositif de sécurité réinitialisé,
remplissez la bouilloire avec de l’eau froide et utilisez-
la normalement.
NETTOYAGE
Ne plongez pas, même partiellement, l’appareil ou son
cordon dans du liquide.
1. Débranchez la bouilloire de la prise murale et laissez-
la se refroidir avant de la nettoyer ou la détartrer.
2. Nettoyez l’extérieur de la bouilloire avec un chiffon
humide, puis utilisez un chiffon doux et sec pour la
faire briller. N’utilisez pas de paille de verre ou de
détergents durs/abrasifs.
3. Détartrez régulièrement la bouilloire pour assurer son
bon fonctionnement. Utilisez un produit de détartrage
et appliquez soigneusement les instructions du
fabricant.
NETTOYAGE DU FILTRE
• Débranchez la bouilloire de la prise murale et laissez-
la se refroidir.
• Ouvrez le couvercle et enlevez le ltre de derrière le
bec (gure 6).
• Rincez le ltre sous un robinet tout en le frottant avec
une brosse douce (gure 7).
• Dans les zones à eau dure, il peut être nécessaire de
détartrer le ltre avec un agent de détartrage. Utilisez
un produit de détartrage et appliquez soigneusement
les instructions du fabricant.
• Le ltre peut être nettoyé en toute sécurité dans le
lave-vaisselle.
• Remontez le ltre dans la bouilloire.

AVANT LA PREMIÈRE UTILISATION
Enlevez l’emballage et les documents promotionnels
de votre bouilloire et posez-la sur une surface de
travail stable, sûre, sèche et verticale, à une distance
raisonnable du bord.
Branchez l’appareil sur une prise murale et assurez-vous
que le cordon d’alimentation ne pend pas dans le vide. Il
est possible de rentrer une partie du cordon dans la base.
Enlevez la bouilloire de sa base. Remplissez-la jusqu’à la
marque du maximum.
Remettez la bouilloire sur sa base. Mettez la bouilloire
en marche, laissez-la bouillir et jetez l’eau. Répétez cette
opération deux fois. Cette opération permet d’éliminer les
résidus du processus de fabrication.
