Thank you for purchasing the Hyperkin The Competitor for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox
One, and Windows 10/11 PC - Wired Controller. For your safety and the safety of
others, please carefully read this guide before using this product.
1. Plug the provided Type-C cable into the Type-C port located on the TOP of
the Hyperkin Xenon.
2. Plug the other end of the cable into an available USB port on your Xbox
Series X|S, Xbox One, PC or Steam OS.
3. The controller will vibrate.
4. Click the Nexus button.
5. The ring light will illuminate.
Your controller is now ready to use.
WAKING UP YOUR XBOX CONSOLE USING THE COMPETITOR
If The Competitor is plugged into an Xbox console, you may turn on the console by
clicking the Nexus button on The Competitor. After doing so, the console will turn
on and the controller Nexus button will illuminate (this may take a few seconds).
Your controller is now ready to use.
PROGRAMMABLE BACK BUTTONS (MAPPING)
To map a button to a back button, hold the Mode Button (marked “M”) on the back of
the controller, and your desired back button (M1 or M2) at the same time. The
Competitor will vibrate, and the ring light around the Nexus will begin to flash.
Release the Mode Button and back button. The Competitor is now in “mapping
mode”. Next, click the button you would like mapped to your desired back button.
The Competitor will vibrate again, indicating that you have exited “mapping mode”
and the selected button has been mapped to your desired back button.
PROGRAMMABLE BACK BUTTONS (UN-MAPPING)
To un-map a button from a back button, hold the Mode Button (marked “M”) and your
desired back button. The Competitor will vibrate, and the ring light will begin to
flash. Release the Mode Button and back button. The Competitor is now in “mapping
mode”. Next, click the same back button. The Competitor will vibrate again,
indicating that you have exited “mapping mode” and a button is no longer mapped to
that back button.
