Important Safety Instructions
Warning: To avoid electrical shock, do not open the product by yourself. Please let all service procedures to qualified
service personnel.
1. Please read all of the instructions carefully and retain for future reference.
2. When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always
be followed.
3. This product is not a toy! Children should be supervised by adults to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
4. This speaker is intended for indoor, domestic use only. Do not use outdoors.
5. There product’s repair must be made by the service only, please do not attempt to repair by yourself.
6. Do not immerse the unit in water or other liquids.
7. Do not insert foreign objects into any opening on the unit.
8. Do not play music at excessive volume levels as this can cause hearing loss
or damage the unit.
9. Keep the speaker and charging cable away from direct sunlight, excessive
heat or flammable materials. Do not cover the speaker during use.
10. Do not expose batteries to heat or fire as they may explode. Do not store the
speaker in a car during hot weather.
11. Do not dispose the batteries in your household waste.
Product Overview:
1. On/Off Button / Lights Button:
Long press to turn on/off the speaker, short press repeatedly to switch between available lighting modes and to turn
off the lights.
2.Mode and Play/Pause Button:
Long press to switch between available modes: BT / USB / TF (microSD) / FM
Short press to play or pause.
When a phone call comes, short press to receive the call; short press again to end the call; double press to reject the
call, double press again to call back.
In FM mode, short press to scan available FM stations and store into memory; short press again to stop scanning.
3. -Button (Previous/Volume Down):
Short press to play the previous song (or previous channel in FM mode).
Press and hold to reduce volume.
4.+Button (Next/Volume Up):
Short press to play the next song (or next channel in FM mode).
Press and hold to increase volume.
5.DC 5V Type-C Charging Port to charge the speaker.
6.MicroSD (TF) card port: Insert microSD card to play compatible
audio.
7. USB port: Insert USB memory device to play compatible audio.

Charging the Speaker:
Turn off the unit before charging. Charge the unit fully before using it for the first time and whenever the sound
becomes weak (there is a low battery alert – as “battery low”).
1.Connect the USB charging cable to the Type-C USB Charging Port on the unit. Connect the other end of the charging
cable to a DC 5V, 1A power adaptor to charge the unit. You can also connect it to the USB port of a computer or
similar.
2.The red Charging Indicator near the Charging Port turns on when the unit is charging and turns off when it is fully
charged. Remove the charging cable promptly. Do not overcharge.
Charging time: Around 2-3 hours.
Battery run time: Around 2-4 hours.
Bluetooth Connection:
Place the speaker close to your Bluetooth enabled device (within 10 meters of). If not in Bluetooth mode, long press
Mode Button to switch to Bluetooth mode. Enable Bluetooth function on your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, tablet or
media player; navigate to the Bluetooth setting menu, and search for new devices. The Bluetooth name for this
speaker is ‘ABTS-V5’. Once connected, you can press and hold Previous or Next Button to play the previous or next
song.
FM Radio Playback:
Long press Mode Button to switch to FM Radio mode. Short press Play/Pause Button to scan available FM stations and
store into memory; short press again to stop scanning. Press and hold the Previous or Next Buttons to switch between
the saved channels.
USB/microSD:
Connect a USB/microSD memory device, to the appropriate port.
If needed, press and hold the ‘Mode’ Button to switch to the correct mode.
Only MP3 format files are compatible.
Maximum size of the USB/ microSD device that can be connected is 32GB.
Making/Receiving Phone Calls:
When a phone call comes, short press Play/Pause Button to receive the call; short press again to end the call; double
press Play/Pause Button to reject the call, double press again to call back.
Akai Wireless Stereo (AWS) Mode
If you have two speakers (Model: ABTS-V5), you can use them together for a more immersive audio experience.
1. Place the two speakers in the same room and turn them on in Bluetooth mode. Do not connect them to your audio
source device at this stage.
2. Double press the '+' button on either speaker (press two times in quick succession). The two speakers will now
connect in AWS mode.
3. Enable Bluetooth function on your audio source device like a smartphone or tablet; navigate to the Bluetooth setting
menu and search for the Bluetooth name 'ABTS-V5'. In AWS mode, only one Bluetooth name will be displayed.
Note: To disconnect AWS mode, double press the '+' button again.
