Installation
Before installation, please check if the box contains the following items:
• AC EV Charger (Including Cable)*1
• User Manual of AC EV Charger*1
• Wall mount
• Plug mount
• Adapters (option)
Installation Environment Requirements:
• The EV charger is a universal device for indoor and outdoor use, meets the IP66
protection level and can be used outdoors. We highly recommend to keep charger
under rain and snow cover like small roof or cabinet.
• Make sure the ambient temperature is between -30°C and +50°C.
• The installation site must not be higher than 2000 meters above sea level.
• There should be no strong vibration or flammable and explosive materials on the
5
installation site.
• The installation location should not be located in depressions or areas prone to water
accumulation.
• The socket and installation to which the EV charger will be connected must be
consistent with the desired charging power (number of amps, voltage, number of
phases)
• The electrical system must be properly grounded.
Using the charger safely
1. The charger should only be connected to a properly functioning electrical system, i.e. with a
properly functioning ground, phase and neutral. A swapped phase with the neutral wire in
the installation or grounding problems can block the operation of the charger for safety
reasons. This can be changed in charger options.
2. When using charging, use an outlet with a current not less than that set on the charger. If
you are using a socket such as 10A, adjust the current below 10A.
3. Do not place flammable, explosive, or flammable materials, chemicals, flammable steam, and
other hazardous goods near the device.
4. If the charging connector is dirty, wipe it with a clean, dry cloth when the charger is
unplugged. Do not touch the metal pin in the connector with your hands.
5. Do not use the charging cable if it is damaged, worn, cracked, or exposed.
6. Do not attempt to disassemble/repair or reassemble the charging device.
7. Do not use the charger in the event of a lightning storm.
8. Children are not allowed to use the device.
9. It is forbidden to disconnect the charging or power plug while charging.
10. Vehicles are not allowed to drive while charging. Charging can only take place when the
vehicle is stationary.
11. Do not use any kind of extension cords or adapters other than provided by Ampere Point.
How to start charging
1. Insert the plug into the power socket. Make sure the power socket is in accordance with the
national standard and the rated current is min. 16 A.
2. Use the [Current] button to switch the charging current mode. Use the [Clock] button to set
the charging time (charging start delay)
3. Remove the charging plug cover, insert the vehicle connector into the vehicle socket. Make
sure the charging connector is fully inserted.
4. The device will start charging.
How to stop charging
1. Through car settings stop charging, disconnect the charging connector from the vehicle
socket. In some vehicles, the connector unlocks itself when the car is charged.
2. Close the EV charging port and put the protective cap on the charging connector.
3. Disconnect the plug from the power outlet.
