* Pouches are typically described as one micron size. Made of two layers, each layer is the same thickness, so the total thickness is twice the micron size described. For
example, a 125 micron pouch is 250 micron thick in total (2 x 125 micron). However, they should be laminated on the 125 micron setting of any machine and not a 250
micron setting.

‘Active Standby’ function
The active standby feature uses a sensor to detect if laminating
is taking place. If no activity is detected after 15 mins of the
last laminate, the machine will enter standby mode. This will be
indicated by the LEDs ashing red every 2 seconds. To operate the
machine, turn product OFF and ON.
Clearing a jammed pouch8
• Jamming can occur when laminating unsuitable materials.
CAUTION: To prevent any damages to the laminator, the pouch must
be removed before switching o the unit.
• Move the release lever to the right and pull out the pouch
immediately.
• Clean the rollers after any pouch jam as described in section
“Maintenance and care”.
Letting the laminated document cool down7
• Remove the laminated document and leave it on a at surface for
one minute to cool down.
• When you have no further documents to laminate, switch o the
laminator.
Laminating5 6
• When the POWER/READY LED indicator lights blue, insert the
pouch with the sealed edge rst until it gets pulled in.
The laminated document automatically exits at the output side.
Inserting the document into the pouch4
• Insert the document into the laminating pouch. Align it to the
sealed edge as much as possible and maintain even margins left
and right.
Pouches that are too large can be trimmed to size after lamination.
Setting up and switching on the laminator
12 3
• Set the laminator up on a stable surface (e.g. table) close to a
mains outlet.
Ensure there is sucient space behind the unit so the laminated
item is not blocked and can easily be removed.
• Connect the laminator to the mains outlet.
• Using the switches on the reverse of the machine, turn the
machine ON. Then select the machine setting (75/100/125) using
the switch to match the thickness of your chosen pouches (see
table above).
• SMART status LED will light red during warm-up. When the
product has reached the selected temperature, the LED will turn
blue.

Waste Electrical and Electronic
Equipment (WEEE)
Electrical and electronic devices contain materials and
substances that can have damaging eects on human
health and the environment. This symbol indicates that
this device must not be treated as unsorted municipal waste but
must be collected separately. Dispose of the device via a collection
point for the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment
within the EU, UK and in other European countries that operate
separate collection systems for waste electrical and electronic
equipment. By disposing of the device in the proper manner, you
help to avoid possible hazards for the environment and public
health that could otherwise be caused by improper treatment of
waste equipment. The recycling of materials contributes to the
conservation of natural resources.
