Caution
• In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent
resetting of the thermal cut-out, this appliance
must not be supplied through an external
switching device, such as a timer, or connected to
a circuit that is regularly switched on and o by
the utility.
• Never use any accessories or parts from other
manufacturers or that Philips does not specically
recommend. If you use such accessories or parts,
your guarantee becomes invalid.
• Do not exceed the maximum capacity indication
on the blender jar (Blending: 1.8 L / Juicing: 800
ml).
• Do not exceed the maximum quantities and
processing times indicated in the relevant table.
• If food sticks to the wall of the blender jar, switch
o the appliance and unplug it. Then use a spatula
to remove the food from the wall.
• Never ll the blender jar with ingredients hotter
than 80˚C.
• Noise level: Lc = 88dB(A).
Blender
Warning
• Never reach into the blender jar with your ngers
or an object while the appliance is running.
Caution
• To prevent spillage, do not put liquid more than
the maximum capacity of the blender jar. When
you process hot liquid or ingredients that tend
to foam, do not put more than 1.8 liters in the
blender jar.
• Do not let the appliance run for more than
3minutes at a time. Let the appliance cool
down to room temperature before you continue
processing.
• Always make sure the lid is properly closed/
assembled on the jar and the measuring cup is
inserted properly in the lid before you switch on
the appliance.
• Do not use jar right after taking it out from
dishwasher or refrigerator. Let it stay at room
temperature for at least 5min before use.
Juicer
Caution
• If you detect cracks in the lter or if the lter is
damaged in any way, do not use the appliance
anymore and contact the Philips Consumer care
centre for replacement.
• Make sure all parts are correctly assembled before
you switch on the appliance.
• Remove the juicer module from motor unit after
the appliance stops operating and the lter has
stopped rotating.
1 Important
Read this user manual carefully before you use the
appliance and save it for future reference.
Warning
• Read the cleaning procedure from chapter
“Cleaning” before use.
• Do not touch the sharp blades when the appliance
is plugged in. If the blades get stuck, unplug the
appliance before you remove the ingredients that
block the blades. Be careful when handling the
sharp cutting blades, emptying the blender jar and
during cleaning.
• Switch o and unplug the appliance from the
power supply before:
• Removing it from the stand, changing
accessories or approaching parts that move
in use.
• Assembling, disassembling or cleaning it.
• It is left unattended.
• Cleaning the appliance
• Do not immerse the appliance in water or any
other liquid.
• Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance
corresponds to the local mains voltage before you
connect the appliance.
• Do not use the appliance if power cord, the plug,
protecting cover, rotating sieve or any other parts
is damaged or has visible cracks. If the mains cord
is damaged, you must have it replaced by Philips,
a service centre authorised by Philips or similarly
qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• Make sure the lid is properly assembled to the
blender jar before you use the appliance.
• This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep
the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
• This appliance can be used by persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance in a safe way and if they
understand the hazards involved.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the appliance.
• Be careful if hot liquid is poured into the blender
as it can be ejected out of the appliance due to a
sudden steaming.
• Never assemble or disassemble the blender jar or
the tumbler to the motor unit while the power is
on.
• This appliance is intended for household use only.
• Do not operate the blender for more than 30
seconds without any ingredient. It may lead to
overheating.
• Never let the appliance run unattended.

Using quick select program
To use a quick select program:
You can turn the rotary knob to select the program
you need and press the knob to conrm your
selection.
-Smoothie
-Ice crushing
-Sauce
-Dessert
-Nut-butter
-Soup
You can directly press the button below for:
- Clear juice button : juice fruit/vegetable
with little ber.
- Pulpy juice button : juice fruit/vegetable
with ber.
- Pulse button : to blend briey.
- Return button : press it to stop ongoing
operation and return to selection mode
To use manually :
Select a quick select program to operate the blender
in manual mode and adjust processing speed by
rotating the knob.
You can adjust processing speed from speed 1 to
speed 12 (maximum speed).
3 Before first time use
Before you use the appliance and accessories for the
rst time, thoroughly clean the parts that come into
contact with food. (Fig. 7)
4 Important notes
Stop and unplug the appliance if there is a pungent
smell or smoke. Let it cool down for 15minutes.
Do not add excessive ingredients. Otherwise, the
ingredient mixture will become too thick or too heavy
to process.
To avoid overloading the appliance, youcan
• Add more liquid ingredient
• Process in several small batches
• Use a higher speed setting
Built-in safety lock
This feature ensures that you can only switch on the
appliance if the blender jar, the mill or the tumbler is
assembled on the motor unit properly. If the blender
jar or the tumbler is correctly assembled, the built-in
safety lock will be unlocked.
Safety Feature
This blender is tted with a safety feature which
safeguards against excessive loads. In case of
overloading, the blender automatically activates
the protection and operation will stop and the
overloading symbol E01 will light up on the
control panel. If this occurs, press and hold the rotary
knob for 2 seconds to power o the appliance, unplug
it and allow it to cool down for 15 minutes. Remove
the ingredients and clear up the blender jar before
starting operation.
Electromagnetic elds (EMF)
This Philips appliance complies with all applicable
standards and regulations regarding exposure to
electromagnetic fields.
Recycling
This symbol means that electrical products shall
not be disposed of with normal household
waste. (Fig. 4)
Follow your country’s rules for the separate
collection of electrical products.

- Rotary knob:
Power on/o the appliance: press the rotary
knob to power on, press and hold it for 2
seconds to power o the unit.
Wake up the appliance: press the rotary knob
to wake up the appliance when it is in standby
mode. (The appliance goes to standby mode
when it is idle for three minutes.)

Using the juicer (Fig. 6)
You can use the juicer to juice up fruits and vegetables
such as apples, watermelon, pear, grapes, and
pineapple.
To use the juicer, follow steps in Fig.6.
Clear juice (step 10 in Fig.6)
To get juice with little ber, you can:
1 Press Clear juice button .
2 Press the rotary knob to start processing.
Pulpy juice (step 10 in Fig.6)
To get juice with ber, you can:
1 Press Pulpy juice button .
2 Rotate the rotary knob to select a processing
program.
• P1: for soft and juicy fruits to make pulpy
juice with bers in it.
• P2: for both juicy and non juicy fruits to
make juice from mixed fruits.
• P3: for juicy and non juicy fruits and
vegetables to make juice with lots of bers
from mixed fruits and vegetables.
3 Press the rotary knob to start processing.
Tips:
To pause ongoing processing, press the rotary knob.
You can press it again to resume.
To stop ongoing processing and return to selection
mode, press the return button .
Caution
•If you exceed the recommended max ingredient
level for Blend & Juice, the juicer funnel may
become blocked. When this occurs, switch o
the appliance, turn over to jar stand mode,
remove excess ingredient and restart the Blend &
Juice preset again.
•Some ingredients may not have enough juice for
eective juicing (eg. Carrot, apples, vegetables).
It is recommended to add suitable amount of
water/ice for best result.
5 Safety protection
The blender has a safety protection system. When
Blender run over 3minutes at a time, it will stop
process automatically. If you have not nished
processing after 3 minutes, switch o the appliance
and let it cool down to room temperature. Never use
over 3minutes consecutively.
When assembling the blender jar, make sure that the
appliance is powered o rst.
Do not attempt to process very thick recipes such as
bread dough or mash potatoes.
6 Using your blender
Using the blender jar (Fig.2)
To use a quick select program, turn the rotary knob
to select the program you need and press it to conrm
your selection.
To pause ongoing processing, press the rotary knob
to pause. You can press it again to resume.
To stop ongoing processing and return to selection
mode, press return button .
To process ingredients briey (such as garlic), press
and hold pulse button .
Note
•After three minutes, the blender will stop the
process automatically.
•Do not blend dry ingredients (for example
pepper corn or star anise).
Using the spatula (Fig. 3)
When the blender is switched on, use the spatula to
enhance the smoothness and consistency of result.
When the blender is switched o, use the spatula to
remove the sticky ingredients on the jar.
Using the tumbler jar
(Fig. 5)
Make your smoothies or shakes directly with the
tumbler. Remove the blade unit and attach the lid of
the tumbler. Then you can bring the tumbler out and
enjoy directly.
Note
•Never overll the tumbler jar above the
maximum level indication to avoid spillage.
•Never ll the tumbler jar with carbonated drinks
to avoid damage of the tumbler.
