BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
Fill to max, boil, discard the water, then rinse. Do this twice to remove any manufacturing dust,
etc.
FILLING
1. Open the lid.
2. Fill with at least 1 cup of water, but not above max.
3. Close the lid, and press down to lock it.

SWITCHING ON
1. Put the stand on a stable, level surface.
2. Plug the stand into the wall socket.
3. Put the kettle on the stand.
4. Move the switch to I.
5. The light will come on. The kettle will start to heat.
SWITCHING OFF
1. When the water boils the kettle will switch o.
2. To switch o manually, move the switch to O, or simply lift the kettle o the stand.
GENERAL
• When you lift the kettle, you may see moisture on the stand. Don’t worry – it’s the steam
used to switch o automatically, which then condenses and escapes via vents under the
kettle.
• You may see some discolouration on the oor of the kettle. Again, don’t worry – it’s due to
the bonding of the element to the kettle oor.
BOIL DRY PROTECTION
If your kettle boils dry, a safety cut-out device will automatically switch it o. If this happens,
unplug your kettle and allow it to cool down until the cut-out resets itself. Allowing your kettle
to boil dry will shorten the life of the element.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
1. Unplug the stand, and let the kettle cool before cleaning.
2. Wipe all surfaces with a clean damp cloth.
3. Keep the connectors dry.
4. Open the lid.
5. Push the hook on top of the lter down then lift the lter out of the kettle (g A).
6. Rinse the lter under a running tap while brushing with a soft brush.
7. Lower the lter into the kettle, and engage the bottom hook in the bottom of the spout.
8. Press the top of the lter towards the kettle, to lock the hook in place.
9. Close the lid.
Descale regularly, (at least monthly).
Use a proprietary descaler. Follow the instructions accompanying the descaler.
Products returned under guarantee with faults due to scale will be subject to a repair charge.

VOR DEM ERSTEN GEBRAUCH
Befüllen Sie das Gerät bis zur max Markierung, lassen Sie das Wasser aufkochen, gießen Sie es
aus und spülen Sie das Gerät anschließend aus. Wiederholen Sie das Ganze zwei Mal, um bei
der Herstellung entstandenen Staub usw. zu entfernen.
BEFÜLLEN
1. Zum Önen des Deckels drücken Sie die Önungstaste nach unten.
2. Füllen Sie mindestens 1 Tasse Wasser ein, aber nur bis zur max Kennzeichnung.
3. Deckel zum Verriegeln nach unten drücken.
EINSCHALTEN
1. Den Sockel auf eine feste, ebene Fläche stellen.
2. Den Stecker des Sockels in die Steckdose stecken.
3. Den Wasserkocher auf den Sockel setzen.
