1. Install the machine in the location where it
will be used.
The machine should be carried by at least two
people.
Provide a space of 100 mm or more around
the machine when installing.
2. Remove all packing material.
Remove all tapes.
Do not remove the sticker that covers the USB port
until you actually use the USB port.

Specifying the Basic
Settings
When you turn on the machine for the first time, the Setup
Guide appears on the control panel. Perform the initial
machine setup by following the on-screen instructions.
Control Panel
• Date and Time Settings
• Security Settings *
• Color Correction
• Network Settings
After completing the above settings, the <Software> or
<Driver Installation/Initial Settings> screen will appear on
the control panel. Follow the instructions on the screen.
You can also install the Software/Drivers from the Canon
website or the Bundled CD/DVD-ROM.
* May not be displayed depending on the model.

Installing the Software/Drivers from the
Canon website
1. Open your web browser and access the
Canon website.
https://dps.start.canon/connect
2. Enter the model name and click Go.

instructions on the screen.
Installing the Software/Drivers from the
Bundled CD/DVD-ROM
1. Load the CD/DVD-ROM into your computer,
and install the software and drivers.
• In an environment connected to the Internet
(Windows only), double-click on “Dlmastersetup.
url”. After that, follow the on-screen instructions.
• In an environment not connected to the Internet,
install the software/driver you want to use from
the CD/DVD-ROM.
* CD/DVD-ROM may not be included with some
models.
