Take your time and read the following instructions and
information completely.Please keep these instructions in a
safe place for futurereference. If you sellthe device, please
pass these operating instructions on to the new owner.
1. Explanation of symbols used on the product label
Electrical device of safety class II.
Protection against electric shock thanks to
reinforced or double insulation of live parts.
The product is intended only for use inside
buildings.
Only use in adry environment.
No heat-insulating materials must be in
contact with the light.
The product must only be used with alter-
nating current.
Non-dimmable.
The lamp is not suitable for use with a
conventional dimmer.
The article may only be connected by a
qualied electrician who complies with
national regulations and those of the local
energy supply company,and who has
sucient knowledge regarding installation
locations, re protection and electrical
installation work.

4. Safety instructions
This product is intended for private, non-commercial use
only.
This product is intended exclusively for installation
in suspended ceilings or suitable built-in recesses or
concrete built-in housings.
Use the product only for the intended purpose.
Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any
major shocks.
Do not operate the product outside the power limits
specied in the technical data.
Do not modify the product in any way.Doing so voids
the warranty.
Children must not play with the device. Cleaning and
user maintenance must not be carried out by children
without supervision.
As with all electrical products, this device should be kept
out of the reach of children.
Dispose of packaging material immediately in
accordance with the locally applicable regulations.
The product should only be installed in self-contained
rooms. It is not suitable for installation in bathrooms.
The product must only be operated on asupply network
as described on the type plate.
Beforemounting, check that the ceiling you have chosen
is suitable for the weight to be mounted. Also make
surethat thereare no electric, water,gas or other lines
running through the ceiling at the mounting site.
Electrical cables must never become trapped or twisted
between the product and the surface.
If the product is attached to ametal surface, it must be
connected to an earth lead or the installation's potential
equalising cable.
These built-in lights arenot compatible with dimmer
switches, motion sensors or dimmers.

Protect the product from dirt, moistureand overheating
and use it in dry rooms only.
Only use the article under moderate climatic conditions.
Do not use the product in areas in which electronic
products arenot permitted.
Do not use the product in adamp environment and
avoid splashing water.
Do not bend or crush the cable.
Do not attempt to service or repair the product yourself.
Leave any and all service work to qualied experts.
Do not continue to operate the device if it is visibly
damaged
Warning
Please note that lights (even LEDs) can generate heat
and may become hot. Always let the light cool down
for afew minutes beforetouching it.
The device may only be operated on a230 V50Hz
AC voltage network. Work on the 230 Vnetwork must
only be carried out by an electrician certied in your
country.The applicable accident prevention regulations
must be adhered to.
To avoid an electric shock from the device, please
disconnect the mains voltage (switch off the automatic
circuit breaker). Failuretocomply with the installation
instructions can cause resorother hazards.
Risk of electric shock
Do not open the product and do not operate it if it is
damaged, if smoke, astrange smell or loud noises are
coming from it. Immediately contact your dealer or our
service department (see item “Service and Support”).
Note
The light source of this light is not replaceable; when the
light source has reached the end of its life, you need to
replace the entirelight.
Warning
Never look straight into the light source and do not aim
its beam of light straight into the eyes of
other people or animals. This could damage
your/their eyes.
Example installation in wood /drywall ceiling:
1. Beforecommencing any installation, maintenance or
repair work, please disconnect the power circuit by
disconnecting the fuse.
2. Securethe power circuit against being switched back
on.
3. Check that the required minimum installation depth of
80 mm (47 mm light +33mmclearance) is available.
The clearance between the upper edge of the light
and the ceiling must not be less than 33 mm to allow
ventilation. The minimum distance between the lights
and ammable materials must be no less than 50
cm. Do not cover the light with any heat-insulating
material.
4. Mark out the position wherethe light is to be installed.
5. Create an installation opening with adiameter of 75
mm using asuitable hole saw.Takecarenot to disturb
any hidden installation or supply lines.
6. The terminal points (e.g. terminal strip) between
the domestic installation and the built-in spotlight
connection cable must be clamped in suitable junction
boxes. (Not included in the extent of delivery).
7. Continuing cables to the next built-in light must
correspond in terms of structureand insulation to
the operating mode. The yellow /green (earth /PE
conductor) cable is not connected. Other lights are
cabled in parallel.

8. Close the junction box and push it into the installation
opening. Also ensurethat the cables arefreeof
compressive and tensile forces. Protect all cables and
insulation from any potential damage.
9. Position the built-in light at an angle and rst insert a
clamp into the installation opening. The springs on the
clamp arevery powerful and can cause injury if due
attention is not paid!
10. Now guide the second clamp into the installation
opening. The built-in light is now slowly introduced all
the way into the installation opening. The force of the
clamps is sucient to hold the built-in light in position.
11. No further xings areneeded. Forprecise alignment,
the built-in light can be easily repositioned and rotated.
The internal part of the light can also be swivelled.
12. Only reinsert the fuse once all built-in lights have been
installed.

Removal
1. Pull the built-in light out of the installation opening on
one side. Take caretoensurethat the clamp does not
accidentally slip out of the opening. Otherwise thereisa
danger that ngers may become trapped.
2. First carefully remove one clamp, then the other,from
the installation opening.
3. The further removal process is carried out in the reverse
order to the installation process.
5. Integrating devices into the Hama Smart Home
(Solution) APP
The LED built-in spotlight starts to ash quickly (if it does
not, switch the LED built-in spotlight ON and OFF again
quickly three times in arow).
Open the app and sign in.
Press the +in the top right-hand corner to add anew
device.
My Home
Choose Lights from the list.
Next enter your WiFi passwordand conrm with NEXT.
Now conrm that the light is ashing quickly by ticking
"Next step" and clicking on "Next".
The LED built-in spotlight is now connected.
Connecting Now
Once the connection is successful, the product stops
ashing quickly and the app conrms that your product
is connected. Youcan now assign it adifferent name if
you wish.
Added successfully
Done
Click Finish to end the process.
Youcan now congureand control the prod-
uct.
