1. Welcome
This booklet provides you the quick start information of your DOT41 digital
cordless telephone. For a full explanation of all features and instructions, please refer
to the User Guide which comes with this product and is also available as described at
the bottom page of this booklet.

Important
Only use the telephone line cord and the rechargeable Ni-MH battery cells (2 x AAA
Ni-MH 750mAh) supplied.
If you have purchased a DOT41 multiple pack you will also have the following
additional items:
• Cordless handsets and chargers
• Rechargeable Ni-MH battery cells
• Power adaptors for the chargers
3. Getting started
3.1 Connecting the base and handset
1. Plug the telephone line cord into the socket marked on the rear of the base.
2. Connect the USB-C cable to the supplied power adaptor. Then plug one end of
the cable into the socket on the rear of the base and the other end into a wall
socket. Switch on the power supply.
3.2 Connecting the charger and charging the handset

1. Remove the battery cover from the back of the handset and insert 2 x AAA
NiMH rechargeable batteries supplied. Please note the ‘+’ and ‘-’ markings on the
battery compartment and insert the batteries in the correct direction.
2. Slide the battery cover back into place.
3. Connect the USB-C cable attached to the charger to the supplied power adaptor,
and plug it into a wall socket.
4. If you are charging the batteries for the first time, place the handset on the
charger to charge for at least 16 hours continuously.
5. When the handset is fully charged, the icon will appear steadily on the display.
The display will show Handset and the handset number to indicate that it is
registered to the base.
3.3 Configure your phone (Welcome mode)
1. When using your phone for the first time, please make sure the base is plugged
into the power first and then insert batteries into the handset.
2. Your phone will enter a welcome mode where you can select your language/
country.
3. The display will show the dierent languages available. Press UP/DOWN buttons
to select the country.

C Left soft key
Press to open the menu in idle mode.
Press to select menu options and to confirm a displayed option.
Press to switch to another call during a call.
D Calls list / Up
In standby mode, press to open the calls list.
During a call, press to increase the earpiece/speaker volume.
When the phone is ringing, press to increase the handset ringer volume.
Press to scroll up to the previous menu level.
In predial mode, press to move the cursor to the last line.
E Contact list
Press to open the phonebook entries.
F OK key
In standby mode, select the new message reminder icon to access incoming call
lists or answering machine messages.
Press to select menu options and to confirm or save a displayed option.
G Left key
In standby mode, press to decrease the ringer volume. If two reminder icons are
displayed, press to scroll between events.
Press to scroll through the menu options.
H Talk / Hands-free
Make or answer a call.
Press to switch hands-free on or o during a call.
I * / Intercom / Switch from pulse to tone
In standby mode, press to dial a *.
Press and hold to make internal calls and transfer calls to other DOT41 handsets
registered to the base.
During a call, press to switch from pulse dialling to tone dialling.
J Microphone
K Call block
Press to open the call block menu.
L Right soft key
In editing mode, press to delete a character or digit. Press and hold to delete all
characters and digits.
During a call, press to turn the mute on or o.
M Recall
Press to use the recall function with switchboard / PABX services and certain
network services.
N Right key
In standby mode, press to increase the ringer volume. If two reminder icons are
displayed, press to scroll between events.
Press to scroll through the menu options.
O Redial / Down
In standby mode, press to open the redial list.
During a call, press to decrease the earpiece/speaker volume.
When the phone is ringing, press to decrease the handset ringer volume or
ringer o.
