Achtung: Auch nach Richtlinien und Normen geprüfte Helme bieten keine Garantie
für Unzerstörbarkeit und für den Ausschluss von Verletzungen oder Todesfällen.
Für höchsten Schutz sind folgende Hinweise dringend zu beachten:
1. Verwendung
Dieser Helm wurde ausschließlich für den Fahrradsport entwickelt und ist als wichtiger
Bestandteil der Schutzausrüstungen ausschließlich bei folgenden Aktivitäten zu empfehlen
(Abb. A).
Für folgende Aktivitäten ist dieser Helm nicht geeignet (Abb. B).
Der Helm ist nicht für die Verwendung in anderen Sportarten/ Aktivitäten zugelassen.
WARNUNG: Kinnbügel schützen selbst bei einem Aufprall mit niedriger Geschwindigkeit
nicht immer umfassend, was zu ernsthaften Verletzungen oder sogar zum Tod führen
kann.

2. Optimaler Sitz
• Der Helm sollte nicht zu weit in die Stirn gezogen werden, damit die Sicht nicht
beeinträchtigt wird (Abb. B).
• Die Stirn muss geschützt sein. Deshalb sollte der Helm nicht zu weit über den Hinterkopf
geschoben werden (Abb. C).
• Der Helm ist richtig angepasst, wenn er waagerecht auf dem Kopf sitzt (Abb. A).
Die Voraussetzung dafür, dass Ihr Helm eine Schutzfunktion übernehmen kann ist, dass er
richtig passt. Probieren Sie deshalb verschiedene Größen aus und wählen die, bei der der
Helm fest und komfortabel auf dem Kopf sitzt (Abb. C).
3. Einstellung des Kopfrings
ABUS-Schutzhelme sind meistens in zwei Schalengrößen
erhältlich. Die Anpassung des Helmes auf die individuelle
Kopfgröße kann, je nach Typ, z.B. mit folgenden, sehr
komfortabelen Einstellsystemen vorgenommen werden:
4. Einstellen der Gurtbänder
Grundsätzlich sind die Gurtbänder beim ersten Tragen anzupassen, dass sie stra und
bequem unterhalb der Ohren zusammenlaufen, ohne diese zu berühren. Dabei helfen
Ihnen die bequem bedienbaren beidseitigen Gurtverteiler, mit optionaler Fixiereinheit
(Abb. 1a und 1b).
Diese muss vor der ersten Benutzung nach dem Justieren der Riemen mit einem hörbaren
Klick gegen unbeabsichtigtes Verstellen (Kindersicherung) fest verriegelt werden und
einrasten (Abb. 1a).
Beim Justieren des Kinnverschlusses, der vor der Fahrt auf jeden Fall geschlossen werden
muss, ist zu beachten, dass er nicht in Höhe des Kieferknochens sitzt (Abb. 2 – 4).
Falls die Gurtbänder zu lang sind, besteht die Möglichkeit, die Enden individuell abzulän-
gen und mit einer Streichholzamme gegen Ausfransen zu versiegeln.
5. Abnehmbarer Kinnbügel
Der Helm verfügt über einen abnehmbaren Kinnbügel. Durch das Drücken der roten Knöp-
fe auf beiden Seiten wird der Kinnbügel entrastet. (Abb. D)
Den Helm festhalten und den Kinnbügel aus der Befestigung herausziehen (Abb. E)
Zum Befestigen den Kinnbügel mit dem Riegel in die mittlere Aufnahme am Helm schie-
ben. (Abb. F)
Der Kinnbügel wird durch Einschieben in die Aufnahme bis zu einem „Klick“ an dem Helm
befestigt (Abb. G). Hierbei ist darauf zu Achten, dass die Kinngurte innen liegen.
WARNUNG: Eine sachgemäße Montage ist Voraussetzung für die volle Schutzwirkung des
Kinnbügels. Nach der Befestigung am Helm muss durch Ziehen festgestellt werden ob der
Kinnbügel richtig montiert ist. Sollte sich der Kinnbügel dabei lösen, muss er erneut befes-
tigt werden. Der Kinnbügel darf nicht während der Fahrt entfernt werden.

6. Sachgemäße Handhabung und Pflege
• Vor jedem Gebrauch muss der Helm und dessen Beriemung geprüft werden.
• In regelmäßigen Abständen sollte der Helm auf sichtbare Mängel überprüft werden.
• Bitte den Helm niemals verändern oder Originalteile entfernen, weil dies die Schutzwir-
kung des Helmes vermindert.
• Den Helm nicht bemalen und bekleben, weil schädigende Inhaltsstoffe die Stabilität und
Schutzwirkung herabsetzen könnten.
• Helm niemals umgestalten oder zweckentfremden.
• Jegliche Nichtbeachtung der Gebrauchshinweise, sowie Veränderungen, und unsachge-
mäße Benutzung des Helms können zum Haftungsausschluss führen.
• Helm kühl, trocken und geschützt lagern. Um den Helm vor Beschädigungen zu schüt-
zen, den Helm in der Originalverpackung oder vergleichbarem transportieren.
• Der Helm darf keinesfalls Temperaturen über 60°C (147°F) ausgesetzt werden, weil er
sonst schützende Eigenschaften verlieren könnte.
• Nicht hinter Glasscheiben, z.B. im Auto (Brennglaseffekt), oder in der Nähe von
Heiz- oder Wärmequellen aufbewahren.
• Ist der Helm einem stärkeren Stoß ausgesetzt worden, muss er sofort ersetzt werden,
weil auch ohne sichtbare Hinweise die Schutzwirkung stark beeinträchtigt sein kann.
• In Abhängigkeit des Nutzungsgrades und den konkreten Einsatzbedingungen muss ein
Fahrradhelm nach spätestens 4 - 5 Jahren ab der ersten Nutzung ausgetauscht werden.
Angesichts der nicht vermeidbaren Materialermüdung muss der Helm spätestens 8 Jahre
nach Produktionsdatum auch dann ausgetauscht werden, wenn dieser keine offensicht-
lichen optischen oder technischen Mängel aufweist.
• Helmschale, Verstellring und herausnehmbare Innenpolster können von Hand (lauwar-
mes Wasser, weiche Tücher, lösungsmittelfreier Reiniger) gereinigt werden. Dies gilt auch
für Sonnenschutzschirme.
• Verwenden Sie ausschließlich Original Ersatzteile.
• Bitte informieren Sie sich zur Entsorgung des Produktes bei Ihrem Entsorgungsunternehmen.
Entsorgen Sie die Verpackung sortenrein. Geben Sie Pappe und Karton zum Altpapier,
Folien und Kunststoffteile in die Wertstoff-Sammlung.
• Für Helme, die mit Quin ausgestattet sind, bitte beiliegende Hinweise beachten.

1. Usage
This helmet is designed exclusively for cycling sports is recommended as protective equip-
ment for the following activities (fig. A).
It is not suitable for the following activities (fig. B).
The helmet is not approved for use in other types of sports / activities.

and serious injury or death can occur.

2. Optimum fit
• Do not pull the helmet over your forehead, reducing visibility (fig. B).
• Do not push the helmet towards the back of your head, as this will not protect your
forehead (fig. C).
• The helmet is properly fitted when it sits level on the head. (fig. A)
• The helmet can only protect your head if it fits correctly (fig. C).

3. Adjustement of the head ring
Almost all ABUS helmets are available in 2 sizes.
Adjusting the helmet to the individual head size
can be achieved, depending on the type, with the
following easy to use fitting systems.
4. Adjustment of the straps
When wearing the helmet for the first time, please adjust the straps so that they meet taut-
ly and comfortably beneath the ears. The easily adjustable triangular locks on both sides,
with their optional fastener (fig. 1a and 1b) help you in doing so.
The child proof lock must be engaged properly, before first use, with an audible “ click” to
prevent accidental displacement (fig. 1a).
Make sure the chin-guard, which must be locked before every ride, doesn’t lie on the
jaw-bone (fig. 2 – 4).
Should the straps be too long, please cut them down to the required length and seal the
ends with a match flame to prevent fraying.
5. Removable chinbar
The helmet has a removable chin bar. By pressing the red buttons on both sides, the chin
bar is disengaged. (Fig. D)
Hold the helmet and pull the chin bar out of the fastening (Fig. E).
To fasten, slide the chin bar with the latch into the centre hole on the helmet. (Fig. F)
The chin bar is attached to the helmet by pushing it into the receptacle until it „clicks“ (Fig.
G). Make sure that the chin straps are on the inside.
WARNING: Proper fitting is a prerequisite for the full protective effect of the chin bar. After
attaching the chin bar to the helmet, pull on it to check that it is correctly fitted. If the chin
bar comes loose, it must be reattached. The chin bar must not be removed while riding.
6. Proper maintenance and care
• Before each use, the helmet and its strapping must be checked.
• Regularly check the helmet for signs of damage.
• Do not alter the specification of this helmet as it will reduce its protective effect.
• Do not apply stickers or paint to the helmet as this can be damaging to the materials.
• Do not remodel or misuse the helmet.
• Any non-observance of the instructions for use, as well as modifications, and improper
use of the helmet may lead to exclusion of liability..
• Store helmet in a cool, dry and protected place. To protect the helmet from damage,
transport the helmet in its original packaging or equivalent.
• Do not expose the helmet to temperatures in excess of 60˚C (147°F). Do not store behind
glass, e.g. in a car (burning glass effect), near heaters etc.
• If you suspect that the helmet has received a large impact, even if there is no visible
damage, please purchase a new helmet.
• This helmet has a limited service life and should be replaced when it shows obvious
signs of wear.
• Depending on the frequency of use and the specific operational conditions, a bicycle
helmet must be replaced 4 - 5 years after the first time it is used. In view of the unavoi-
dable material fatigue, the helmet must, however, be replaced at most 8 years after its
production date even if it displays no clear visible or technical defects.
• The helmet, inner pads and head ring can be cleaned using lukewarm water,
solvent-free detergents and a soft cloth.
• Only use original spare parts.
• Please contact your local waste disposal company for correct disposal. Dispose of the
packaging according to type. Separate the cardboard, foil and plastic elements for
recycling.
• Please observe the notes enclosed for helmets equipped with Quin.

Attention : Même les casques testés conformément aux directives et aux normes ne
garantissent pas l‘indestructibilité et l‘exclusion des blessures ou de la mort.
Pour une protection aussi efficace que possible, veuillez respecter les
instructions suivantes :
1. Utilisation
Ce casque a été conçu exclusivement pour le cyclisme et, en tant qu‘élément important de
l‘équipement de protection, il est exclusivement recommandé pour les activités suivantes
(fig. A).
Il ne convient pas aux activités suivantes (fig. B).
Le casque n’est pas homologué pour une utilisation dans d’autres domaines d’activités
sportives/d’activités.
AVERTISSEMENT : Les mentonnières ne protègent pas toujours complètement, même en
cas de choc à faible vitesse, ce qui peut entraîner de graves blessures, voire la mort.

2. Position optimale
• Le casque ne doit pas être trop bas sur le front afin de ne pas nuire à la visibilité (fig. B).
• Le front doit être protégé. Par conséquent, le casque ne doit pas être poussé trop loin sur
l‘arrière de la tête (fig. C).
• Le casque est correctement ajusté lorsqu‘il repose horizontalement sur la tête (fig. A).
La condition préalable pour que votre casque assure une fonction de protection est qu‘il
soit correctement ajusté (fig. C).
3. Réglage de la molette
La majorité des casques ABUS sont disponibles en 2 tailles.
Régler le casque à la taille de la tête de l‘utilisateur peut
se faire, en fonction du modèle, à l‘aide des systèmes
suivants très faciles d‘utilisation.
4. Réglage des sangles
En principe, lors de la première utilisation, les sangles doivent être ajustées de manière à
ce qu‘elles se rejoignent étroitement et confortablement sous les oreilles sans les toucher.
Les tendeurs de sangle bilatéraux, faciles à utiliser, avec unité de fixation en option (fig. 1a
et 1b), vous y aident.
Celle-ci doit être fermement verrouillée et enclenchée avant la première utilisation, après
avoir ajusté les courroies, en émettant un clic audible pour éviter tout déréglage involon-
taire (sécurité enfants) (fig. 1a).
Lors de l‘ajustement de la boucle de menton, qui doit dans tous les cas être fermée avant
de prendre la route, il faut veiller à ce qu‘elle ne soit pas placée au niveau de l‘os de la
mâchoire (Fig. 2 - 4).
Si les sangles sont trop longues, il est possible de couper les extrémités individuellement et
de les sceller avec une flamme d‘allumette pour éviter qu‘elles ne s‘effilochent.
5. Mentonnière amovible
Le casque dispose d‘une mentonnière amovible. En appuyant sur les boutons rouges de
chaque côté, la mentonnière se déverrouille. (Fig. D)
Tenir le casque et retirer la mentonnière de la fixation. (Fig. E)
Pour la fixer, faire glisser la mentonnière avec le verrou dans le logement central du
casque. (Fig. F)
La mentonnière se fixe au casque en l‘insérant dans le logement jusqu‘à ce qu‘un « clic
» se fasse entendre (figure G). Il faut alors veiller à ce que les sangles de menton soient à
l‘intérieur.
AVERTISSEMENT : Un montage correct est une condition préalable à l‘effet protecteur com-
plet de la mentonnière. Après la fixation sur le casque, il faut vérifier si la mentonnière est
correctement montée en tirant dessus. Si la mentonnière se détache pendant cette opérati-
on, il faut la fixer à nouveau. La mentonnière ne doit pas être retirée pendant la conduite.
