GB | Infrared Thermometer
The infrared thermometer is a measuring device for non-contact measurement of temperature.
The device measures temperature on the surface of the object. It determines temperature
based on the infrared energy the object emits and based on its emissivity. The thermometer
is ideal for measuring hot, hard-to-reach or moving objects.
Read this manual before using the device.

Warning:
Never point the laser on people or animals.
Never look directly into the laser, it could damage your eyes.
Inserting Batteries
Open the battery compartment on the front side of the thermometer.
Connect the contacts of the 9V battery to the connector terminals for the battery.
Make sure to observe the correct polarity of contacts when inserting the battery.
Close the battery cover.
Always use alkaline batteries only; do not use re-chargeable batteries.
Turning the Thermometer On/Measuring
Shortly pull the trigger; you will hear 2× beeps and the device will turn on.
For better focusing accuracy, press button no. 7 to activate the laser pointer; a icon will
appear on the screen.
Pull and hold the thermometer trigger for at least 1 second ( icon will appear) and focus
the laser beam onto the surface of the measured object, ideally at a 90° angle.
The screen will show the measured temperature.
If you wish to measure continuously, continue holding the trigger and focus the laser onto
another object.
Note:
The measured temperature is an average temperature across the measured area.
To achieve accurate results, the measured object must be larger than the measured area.
You should not start using the thermometer immediately after transitioning from a cold envi-
ronment to a warm one.
Condensed water could destroy the device. Similarly, a fogged lens can cause errors in measurement.
Wait for the device to acclimate to the ambient temperature before use.
D/S (Distance to Spot) Ratio 8:1
This parameter determines the size of the area the thermometer measures. As a rule, the
closer the measured object, the higher the accuracy of the thermometer. At a distance of 8 cm
from the target, the thermometer reads temperature from a spot with diameter of 1 cm (8:1).

Emissivity
Emissivity is the ratio between the emission intensity of the real object compared to the emission
intensity of a black body of the same temperature. Emissivity therefore expresses the capability
of a body to emit heat. For this thermometer, the emissivity for measured objects is set to 0.95.
If you measure shiny or polished objects, measurements may be inaccurate. In that case, we
recommend covering the object with some kind of packaging or painting it with a thin coat
of paint. Perform measurement once the packaging or paint reach the same temperature as
the covered object.
Screen Illumination
If you wish to activate screen illumination during measurement, press button no. 9; the
icon will appear.
Screen illumination switches o automatically after 10 seconds; press the illumination button
again to reactivate it.
Switching °C/°F Units of Temperature
While measuring, repeatedly press button no. 8 to switch between °C or °F units of temperature.
Battery Replacement
If the screen shows the icon, the battery is depleted; replace it.
Use alkaline batteries only; do not use re-chargeable batteries.
Upkeep and Maintenance
The product is designed to serve reliably for many years if used properly. Some advice for
proper operation:
Read the manual carefully before using this product.
Do not expose the product to direct sunlight, extreme cold and moisture, and sudden
changes in temperature. This would reduce accuracy of detection.
Do not place the product in locations prone to vibration and shocks – these may cause
damage.
Do not expose the product to excessive force, impacts, dust, high temperatures or humidity
- these may cause malfunction, shorter battery life, damage to batteries and deformation
of plastic parts.
Do not expose the product to rain or high humidity, dropping or splashing water.
Do not place any open ame sources on the product, e.g. a lit candle, etc.
Do not place the product in places with inadequate air ow.
Do not tamper with the internal electric circuits of the product – doing so may damage the
product, which will automatically void the warranty. The product should only be repaired
by a qualied professional.
To clean the device and laser lenses, use a slightly moistened soft cloth. Do not use
solvents or detergents – they could scratch the plastic parts and cause corrosion of the
electric circuits.
Do not touch the lenses on the top of the device with your ngers.
Do not immerse the product in water or other liquids.
In the event of damage or defect on the product, do not perform any repairs by yourself.
Have it repaired where you purchased the product.
This device is not intended for use by persons (including children) whose physical, sensory
or mental disability or lack of experience and expertise prevents them from safely using the
device, if they are not supervised or if they have not been instructed regarding the use of
this appliance by a person responsible for their safety. It is necessary to supervise children
to ensure they do not play with the device.

Do not dispose with domestic waste. Use special collection points for sorted waste.
Contact local authorities for information about collection points. If the electronic devic-
es would be disposed on landll, dangerous substances may reach groundwater and
subsequently food chain, where it could aect human health.
