Follow

regulations.
In the

any
incorrect opera
tion or
doubt

to
how

use
the
helmet
correctly
,
repor
t
it
to
your
supervisor
or contact
local
authorised
technical
ser
vice.

is
forbidden
to
use
the
helmet
at
variance
with
its
intended
use.
ź
Always assess
operability
of
the
welding
helmet
prior
to
work. The
hel
met
is
u

if

fac
e,
discolouration,
scratches
and cracks
of the
protective
glass or
helmet.
Replace the
helmet or glass with
a new one.

type
of
work
that
will
be
performed.

incorrect operation of the

and

in
the
front
are
not
obstruc
ted.

Protect the helmet and its components against solvents
. Clean with
soft,
moist
cloth.
WARNING!
Product
warranty
is
void
and
user's
bodily
safety
compromised
in
the
case
of
any
modification
of
the
welding
helmet
,
unintended
use,
or
failure
to
follow
this
manual.
6.
BEFORE
USE:
The
helmet
is
delivered
to
you
assembled
and
ready
to
be
used.
Nevertheless,
the
following
is
necessar
y
before
use:
1.
Before
the
first
use
of
the
welding
helmet,
remov
e
protective
film
from
the auto
darkening
filter
. Otherwise the
shade
may
be incorrect
or
the
filter
may
not
work.
2.
Make sure the helmet is fit for the planned t
ype of work and that all
components
of
the
helmet
are
in
place,
installed
correctly
and
operational.
3.
Adjust
the
headgear
so
that
it
is
optimally
fitted
to
the
head.
4.
Set
the
sensitivity,
delay
time,
and
shade
of
the
welding
filter
correctly
.
7.
HELMET
ADJUSTMENT
(see fig
.
C
,
p.
2)
:
Before
use,
adjust
the
helmet
to
ensure
maximum
protection
and
comfort
of
use.
Correct adjustment of the
helmet provides the
maximum protection of
eyes
against ultra
violet
(UV)
and
infrared
(IR)
radiation.
n
Band
adjustment
The
total
circumference
of
operator's
headgear
can
be
reduced
or
increased
with the
knob
at
the
back:
–
T
o
reduce
the
circumference
,
press
the
A
knob
and
rotate
it
clockwise.
–
T
o
increase
the
circumference,
press
the
A
knob
and
rotate
it
counter
clockwise.
The
circumference
is
set
corr
ec
tly
when
the
helmet
does
not
fall
off
operator's
head
and it
does
not
exert
excessive
pressure
on
the
head.

might
need
to
be
increased/decreased
depending
on
ambient
conditions.

Helmet positioned too high
may make the shell
fall; helmet positioned
too low may be uncomfortable.
The optimum position of the helmet on
operator's
head
may
be
set
with
the
B
band
in
the
upper
par
t
of
the
headgear
.
V
erify band
adjustment by putting
the helmet up
and down
when fitted
on
the head
. If
the band
is adjusted
correctly,
the helmet
should be
stable
on
operator's
head.
If
positioning
is
incorrect,
readjust
the
band.
n
Helmet-to-face
distance
adjustment:

adjust
this
distance,
unscrew
mounting
nuts

put
the
screws
through squar

!
Perform the
adjustment for
both sides
of the
helmet. The
smallest
possible
filter-to-eye
distance
is
recommended
for
the
best
sharpness.

operator

CAUTION!
The
correct
helmet angle
protects
against spatter
and r
adiation
reaching
operator's
chin.
8.
USE:
n
Helmet
power
source
The
helmet is
powered
with
two
lithium
CR2450 3
V batt
eries
charged by
solar cells.
It provides batt
ery life of 5000 hours
under normal operating
conditions.
Filter
power
is
automatically
controlled
by
optical
sensors.
The
internal
contr
ol
panel
has
the
TEST
button,
which
can
be
used
to
control
correct operation of
helmet systems (the
operation mode swit
ch
should
be set
to
welding), and
an
LEDy
indicator for
empty
batter
. The
low voltage
diode is
off
when power
provided to the
filter
is sufficient.
When
the
diode
is
on,
the
batteries
should
be r
eplaced.
n
Helmet
shade
selection:
Find
the
right
shade
for
your
welding
process in the table on page 4 and set the
operation mode switch on
the left
side of
the
helmet
to
the
appropriate
position

9–13
.
Rotate
the
SHADE
knob
and
set
to
the
right
value
of
darkening
cover
.
For
grinding,
set
the
operating
mode
switch
to

turn

MAINTENANCE
AND
STORAGE:
Perform
careful
maintenance
on
the
helmet
on
a
regular
basis.
It

keep
it in
a
good
condition.
The product should be stored in provided unit packaging
in a dark,
dry,
ventilat
ed, and locked room. Stor

Protect
the
product
against
dust, par
ticulate,
and
other
contaminants
(foil

the filter
cartridge
by yourself. T

tridge

disassembled

authorised

Replacing
the protectiv
e
glass:
In
order
to
ensure
long
and
fault-free
operation
of
the
filter
,
it
is
forbidden to
use the
helmet
without polycarbonate protective glasses.
Replace
the
front
protective
glass
on
a
regular
basis
.
Hitting
spatter
tarnishes
it,
which
is
a na
tural
phenomenon.
In or
der to
replace the
protective
glass, remov
e the
auto darkening
filter
cartridge
and
pull
the
glass
towards
the
inside of
the
helmet.
CAUTION!
The
filter element
should be r
eplaced and installed b
y qualified
and
competent
personnel
only.

Replacing
the filter
batteries
If
the
LOW
BA

TERY
diode
is
on,
replace
the
batteries
with
new
ones.
The
batteries
are
located
in
two
independent
compartments
on
both
sides of
the helmet,
inside it, near
adjustment knobs
