Für höchsten Schutz sind folgende Hinweise dringend zu beachten:
1. Verwendung
Dieser Helm ist als wichtiges Bestandteil der Schutzausrüstungen ausschließlich bei folgen-
den Aktivitäten zu empfehlen (Abb. A).
Für folgende Aktivitäten ist dieser Helm nicht geeignet (Abb. B).
Achtung: Kinder müssen ihren Schutzhelm vor Betreten eines Kinderspielplatzes unbe-
dingt abnehmen! Dieser Helm sollte nicht von Kindern beim Klettern oder anderen
Aktivitäten verwendet werden, wenn ein Risiko besteht, sich zu strangulieren/hängen
zu bleiben, falls sich das Kind mit dem Helm verfängt.
2. Optimaler Sitz
• Der Helm sollte nicht zu weit in die Stirn gezogen werden, damit die Sicht nicht
beeinträchtigt wird.
• Die Stirn muss geschützt sein. Deshalb sollte der Helm nicht zu weit über den Hinterkopf
geschoben werden.
• Der Helm ist richtig angepasst, wenn er waagerecht auf dem Kopf sitzt.
Die Voraussetzung dafür, dass Ihr Helm eine Schutzfunktion übernehmen kann ist, dass er
richtig passt. Probieren Sie deshalb verschiedene Größen aus und wählen die, bei der der
Helm fest und komfortabel auf dem Kopf sitzt (Abb. C).
3. Einstellung des Kopfrings
ABUS-Schutzhelme sind meistens in zwei Schalengrößen
erhältlich. Die Anpassung des Helmes auf die individuelle
Kopfgröße kann, je nach Typ, z.B. mit folgenden, sehr
komfortabelen Einstellsystemen vorgenommen werden:
4. Einstellen der Gurtbänder
Grundsätzlich sind die Gurtbänder beim ersten Tragen anzupassen, dass sie stra und be-
quem unterhalb der Ohren zusammenlaufen, ohne diese zu berühren. Dabei helfen Ihnen
die bequem bedienbaren beidseitigen Gurtverteiler, mit optionaler Fixiereinheit (Abb. 1).
Beim Justieren des Kinnverschlusses, der vor der Fahrt auf jeden Fall geschlossen werden
muss, ist zu beachten, dass er nicht in Höhe des Kieferknochens sitzt. (Abb.2 – 5)
Nach dem Einstellen können die überstehenden Gurtbänder mit dem Gurtclip (Abb. 6)
gesichert werden.
Falls die Gurtbänder zu lang sind, besteht die Möglichkeit, die Enden individuell abzulän-
gen und mit einer Streichholzamme gegen Ausfransen zu versiegeln.
5. Sachgemäße Handhabung und Pege
• In regelmäßigen Abständen sollte der Helm auf sichtbare Mängel überprü werden.
• Bitte den Helm niemals verändern oder Originalteile entfernen, weil dies die Schutzwir-
kung des Helmes vermindert.
• Den Helm nicht bemalen und bekleben, weil schädigende Inhaltsstoe die Stabilität und
Schutzwirkung herabsetzen könnten.
• Helm niemals umgestalten oder zweckentfremden.
• Der Helm darf keinesfalls Temperaturen über 60°C (147°F) ausgesetzt werden, weil er
sonst schützende Eigenschaen verlieren könnte.
• Nicht hinter Glasscheiben, z.B. im Auto (Brennglaseekt), oder in der Nähe von
Heiz- oder Wärmequellen auewahren.
• Ist der Helm einem stärkeren Stoß ausgesetzt worden, muss er sofort ersetzt werden,
weil auch ohne sichtbare Hinweise die Schutzwirkung stark beeinträchtigt sein kann.
• In Abhängigkeit des Nutzungsgrades und den konkreten Einsatzbedingungen muss ein
Fahrradhelm nach spätestens 4 - 5 Jahren ab der ersten Nutzung ausgetauscht werden.
Angesichts der nicht vermeidbaren Materialermüdung muss der Helm spätestens 8 Jahre
nach Produktionsdatum auch dann ausgetauscht werden, wenn dieser keine oensicht-
lichen optischen oder technischen Mängel aufweist.
• Helmschale, Verstellring und herausnehmbare Innenpolster können von Hand (lauwar-
mes Wasser, weiche Tücher, lösungsmittelfreier Reiniger) gereinigt werden. Dies gilt auch
für Sonnenschutzschirme.
• Das LED-Rücklicht ersetzt nicht die vorgeschriebene lichttechnische Einrichtung
an Fahrrädern.
• Verwenden Sie ausschließlich Original Ersatzteile.

Batteriehinweise
• Dieses Produkt enthält einen fest verbauten 3,7 V Lithium-Polymer-Akku (190mAh*2).
Fest verbaute Akkus dürfen nur durch Fachpersonal ausgetauscht, bzw. entnommen
werden. Laden und benutzen Sie das Produkt nicht in Umgebungen, in denen Ex-
plosionsgefahr besteht, z.B. durch brennbare Flüssigkeiten, Gase oder Staub. Ver-
brennen Sie das Produkt niemals! Der Akku kann im Feuer explodieren. Außerdem
entstehen dadurch giige Stoe.
• Verwenden Sie zum Auaden ausschließlich ein geeignetes Standard Micro-USB-B
Ladekabel in Verbindung mit einem geeigneten Ladegerät (Netzteil 5V DC)!
• Lassen Sie das Produkt während des Auadens nicht unbeaufsichtigt!
• Lagern und benutzen Sie das Produkt nicht in Bereichen, in denen die Temperatur 0°C
unterschreiten oder +60°C überschreiten kann. Setzen Sie das Produkt nicht für längere
Zeit direkter Sonneneinstrahlung aus!
Vorsicht im Umgang mit Magneten
ACHTUNG: Magnete können Kreditkarten oder andere Karten
mit Magnetstreifen sowie Herzschrittmacher und sonstige
implantierte Geräte beeinussen. Halten Sie daher immer
einen ausreichenden Abstand (ca. 20 cm) zwischen Magnet
und implantiertem Gerät ein – Lebensgefahr!
Entsorgung
Dieses Produkt enthält wertvolle Rohstoe. Entsorgen Sie das Produkt am Ende seiner
Lebensdauer gemäß den geltenden gesetzlichen Bestimmungen.
Elektrogeräte, Akkus und Batterien dürfen nicht über den Hausmüll entsorgt werden. Die
Entsorgung muss gemäß Richtlinie 2012/19/EU über Elektro- und Elektronik-Altgeräte (WEEE),
bzw. gemäß Richtlinie 2006/66/EG über Batterien und Akkumulatoren sowie Altbatterien
und Altakkumulatoren erfolgen.

This helmet is recommended as protective equipment for the following activities (g. A).
It is not suitable for the following activities (g. B).
Attention: Please note that it is necessary for children to remove their helmets before
entering playgrounds. This helmet should not be used by children while climbing or
doing other activities when there is a risk of strangulation/hanging if the child gets
trapped with the helmet.
2. Optimum fit
• Please try various sizes for comfort and security, ensuring that the helmet sits
horizontally on your head.
• Do not pull the helmet over your forehead, reducing visibility.
• Do not push the helmet towards the back of your head, as this will not protect your forehead.
The helmet can only protect your head if it ts correctly (g. C).

3. Adjustement of the head ring
Almost all ABUS helmets are available in 2 sizes.
Adjusting the helmet to the individual head size
can be achieved, depending on the type, with the
following easy to use tting systems.
4. Adjustment of the straps
When wearing the helmet for the rst time, please adjust the straps so that they meet
tautly and comfortably beneath the ears.
The easily adjustable triangular locks on both sides, with their optional fastener (g. 1)
help you in doing so.
Make sure the chin-guard, which must be locked before every ride, doesn’t lie on the
jaw-bone (g. 2 – 5).
Aer adjustment, the overlapping straps can be secured with the strap clip (g. 6).
Should the straps be too long, please cut them down to the required length and seal the
ends with a match ame to prevent fraying.
5. Proper maintenance and care
• Regularly check the helmet for signs of damage.
• Do not alter the specication of this helmet as it will reduce its protective eect.
• Do not apply stickers or paint to the helmet as this can be damaging to the materials.
• Do not remodel or misuse the helmet.
• Do not expose the helmet to temperatures in excess of 60˚C. Do not store behind glass,
e.g. in a car (burning glass eect), near heaters etc.
• If you suspect that the helmet has received a large impact, even if there is no visible
damage, please purchase a new helmet.
• This helmet has a limited service life and should be replaced when it shows obvious
signs of wear.
• Depending on the frequency of use and the specic operational conditions, a bicycle
helmet must be replaced 4 - 5 years aer the rst time it is used. In view of the unavoi-
dable material fatigue, the helmet must, however, be replaced at most 8 years aer its
production date even if it displays no clear visible or technical defects
• The helmet, inner pads and head ring can be cleaned using lukewarm water,
solvent-free detergents and a so cloth.
• The LED rear light does not replace the statutory lighting installation requirement
for bicycles.
• Only use original spare parts.
Battery instructions
• This product contains a built-in 3,7 V lithium polymer battery (190mAh*2). Built-in
rechargeable batteries may only be replaced or removed by qualied personnel. Do not
charge or use the product in environments where there is a risk of explosion, e.g. from
ammable liquids, gases or dust. Never burn the product! The battery could explode in
the re. This would also release toxic substances.
• Only use a suitable standard micro USB B charging cable in conjunction with a suitable
charger (5V DC power supply unit) for charging!
• Do not leave the product unattended while it is charging!
• Do not use or store the product in areas where the temperature could reach below 0°C or
above +60°C. Do not expose the product to direct sunlight for long periods of time.
Be careful when using magnets
ATTENTION: Magnets can damage credit cards or other cards
with magnetic strips. Magnets can also have an adverse eect
on pacemakers or other implanted devices. So ensure
sucient distance (approx. 20 cm) between the magnet
and the implanted devices – Danger to life!
Disposal
This product contains valuable raw materials. At the end of its service life, dispose of the
product in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.
Electrical appliances, rechargeable batteries and batteries must not be disposed of with
household waste. Disposal must be carried out in accordance with Directive 2012/19/EU on
waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), or Directive 2006/66/EC on batteries and
accumulators and waste batteries and accumulators.
Please contact the local authority responsible for disposal if you have any queries. You can
obtain information on collection points for your old appliances, for example, from the local
municipal or city administration, the local waste disposal companies, or your specialist
dealer.

Pour une protection aussi ecace que possible, veuillez respecter les instructions suivantes :
1. Utilisation
Ce casque est recommandé comme équipement de protection pour les activités
suivantes (g. A).
Il ne convient pas aux activités suivantes (g. B).
Attention: Veuillez noter que les enfants doivent enlever leur casque avant d‘entrer
dans une aire de jeux. Il convient que les enfants n’utilisent pas ce casque alors qu’ils
grimpent ou s’adonnent à des activités induisant un risque de pendaison au cas où ils
resteraient accrochés par leur casque.
2. Position optimale
• Il convient que l’acheteur essaye plusieurs tailles et choisisse celle qui lui paraît la mieux
ajustée et la plus confortable. Il convient que le casque soit ajusté pour l’utilisateur.
• Le casque ne doit pas descendre trop bas sur le front car cela pourrait réduire le champ
de vision.
• Le casque ne doit pas descendre trop bas vers l‘arrière du crâne car cela ne protégerait
pas le front.
Le casque ne protège que s’il est bien ajusté (fig. C).
3. Réglage de la molette
La majorité des casques ABUS sont disponibles en 2 tailles.
Régler le casque à la taille de la tête de l‘utilisateur peut
se faire, en fonction du modèle, à l‘aide des systèmes
suivants très faciles d‘utilisation.
4. Réglage des sangles
Quand vous mettez le casque pour la première fois, veuillez régler les sangles de sorte
qu‘elles soient tendues, ne recouvrent pas les oreilles et se rejoignent confortablement
sous les oreilles. Les sangles et la boucle doivent être réglées pour serrer fermement sans
gêner.
Les sangles de réglage faciles à utiliser sur les deux côtés (g. 1) et équipées d’une xation
optionnelle (g. 1) vous aideront à ajuster au mieux votre casque.
Assurez-vous que la boucle de mentonnière (qui doit être fermée avant chaque utilisation),
ne repose pas sur la mâchoire (g. 2 – 5).
Après le réglage, les sangles qui dépassent peuvent être sécurisées grâce aux passants
prévus à cet eet (g. 6).
Si les sangles sont trop longues, découpez-les à la longueur voulue et soudez les extrémités
avec la amme d‘une allumette pour éviter l‘elochage.
5. Utilisation et entretien corrects
• Examiner régulièrement le casque pour s’assurer de son parfait état.
• Toute modication ou retrait de l’un des éléments constitutifs originaux du casque
autrement que selon les recommandations du fabricant entraîne des risques et réduit
son eet protecteur.
• Il convient de ne pas modier les casques pour y xer des accessoires selon une méthode
non recommandée par le fabricant, ni même d‘y appliquer des autocollants ou de la
peinture.
• Ne pas modier le casque et ne pas l‘utiliser de manière inappropriée.
• Ne pas exposer le casque à des températures de plus de 60˚C. Ne pas le poser derrière
une vitre comme par ex. dans une voiture (eet loupe), ni à proximité d’une source de
chaleur (radiateurs etc.).
• Il convient de mettre au rebut et détruire un casque ayant subi un choc sévère ou
suspecté d‘avoir subi un choc sévère, même s‘il n‘y a aucun dégât visible. Veuillez alors
vous procurer un nouveau casque.
• Ce casque a une durée de vie limitée et doit être remplacé dès l’apparition des premiers
signes d’usure.
• Selon le degré d’utilisation et les conditions d’utilisation concrètes, il faut remplacer un
casque de vélo tous les 4 à 5 ans après la première utilisation. Compte tenu de la fatigue
inévitable du matériau, il faut remplacer le casque au plus tard 8 ans après la date de
production, même s’il ne présente aucun défaut visuel ou technique apparent
• Le casque, les mousses intérieures et la molette de réglage sont lavables à la main (eau
tiède, produits de nettoyage sans solvants et chion doux).
