Thank you for purchasing the DT 270 PRO from
beyerdynamic.
Please take some time and read this information
carefully before using the product.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Risk of injury
� We would like to point out that an excess of
high volumes and long periods of liening
may cause hearing damage. Therefore, use
the lowe possible volume levels.
� If you suer from tinnitus, do not use headphones,
or reduce the volume.
� According to regulations to protect employees
again damages caused by noise and vibrations,
please follow these inructions:

� When connecting the headphones, please ensure
that the volume is turned down to minimum. Adju
the volume aer putting on the headphones.
Danger to life
� Headphones draically reduce perception
of external sounds. Using headphones in
road traic can be potentially dangerous.
The user’s hearing mu not be impaired to
the extent that it causes road safety risks.
Please also make sure that you do not use
the headphones in traic or within an area of
potentially dangerous machines and tools.
� Fuhermore, avoid using the headphones in
situations where hearing mu not be aected,
especially when crossing a railway crossing or at
a conruction site.
Liability / intended use
� Do not use the headphones for any application
which is not described in this product information.
� The company beyerdynamic GmbH & Co. KG accepts
no liability for damage to the headphones or injury
to persons caused by careless, improper or incorrect
use of the headphones, or by use for purposes not
specified by the manufacturer.
APPLICATION
� The DT 270 PRO is a closed udio headphone, which
is suitable for recording and monitoring in the udio
as well as on the move.
� The detachable cable can be connected to either
the le or right ear cup.
� The DT 270 PRO provides a balanced, detailed sound
with clear highs, present mids and clean bass.
� The so velour ear pads and padded headband
ensure a light, secure fit, even if worn for many hours
at at time.
� The connection cable is fitted with a gold-plated
mini ereo jack plug (3.5 mm) with screw-on adapt-
er (6.35 mm) and can be connected to all andard
headphone outputs.
� For direct connection to devices with a USB-C po,
e.g. smaphones, an adapter cable with a USB-C
plug and a 3.5 mm jack socket is supplied.
MAINTENANCE
� For hygienic reasons, you should occasionally clean
the ear pads and headband pad with a so cloth
moiened with water. Make sure that no water drops
into the ear cups or transducers.
� If necessary, you can carefully remove the ear pads
and clean them with mild soapy water.
� As ear pads are subject to natural wear and tear,
they will need to be replaced from time to time. You
can easily do this yourself. Refer also to the “How to
change the ear pads” chapter.
� If other components mu be replaced, please
contact your local beyerdynamic representative.
Never use any solvent or aggressive cleaning
agents! Also avoid cleaning agents containing
alcohol or acids. Fuhermore, the ear pads
mu be completely dry before they are re-
attached to the headphones.
Never use a vacuum cleaner for cleaning the
DT 270 PRO, as this may cause irreparable
damage.

HOW TO CONNECT THE AUDIO CABLE
� The connecting cable is fitted with a mini jack plug
(3.5 mm) at the end that connects to the headphone.
� Connect the cable either to right or le ear cup.
HOW TO CONNECT THE USB-C CABLE
�The DT 270 PRO comes with a USB-C to mini jack
(3.5 mm) adapter cable, allowing you to connect the
DT 270 PRO directly to a mobile (e.g. smaphone) or
ationary device via USB-C.
�At fir, unscrew the 6.35 mm jack adapter from the
mini jack (3.5 mm) plug.
�Then connect the mini jack (3.5 mm) plug to the jack
socket of the USB-C cable.
�Then connect the USB-C cable to the USB-C po of a
device, e.g. a smaphone.
�If you want to change the connecting cable, simply
pull the cable away from the DT 270 PRO.
� At the other end of the connecting cable is a gold-
plated mini jack plug (3.5 mm) with a screw-on
adapter (6.35 mm).
Connect the ereo jack plug of the cable to
a headphone output only! If you connect the
DT 270 PRO to any other jack socket, it could
be damaged.

HOW TO CHANGE THE EAR PADS WECHSELN
� Carefully pull the ear pad away from the ear cup.
� Inse the plaic lip of the ear pad into the groove
of the housing and turn the ear pad until it is fully
attached.
