GOperating instruction
Thank you for choosing aHama product.
Take your time and read the following instructions and information
completely. Please keep these instructions in asafe place for futurereference.
If you sell the device, please pass these operating instructions on to the new
owner.
1. Controls and displays
1. Air intake opening (both sides)
2. Air sensor
3. Air outlet opening
4. Display and operating display
5. Front panel
6. Topspeed button:
On/Off of the maximum fan speed
7. Anion button:
Ion Generator On/Off -Anion generator produces negatively charged
ions (anions) and small amounts of ozone. This increases the
purication performance, as the anions combine with positively charged
dirt particles in the room air to form larger clusters. These can then be
ltered out moreeasily by the internal lters.
Warning -Ozone
Do not use this function if you aresensitive to ozone, in bedrooms, in
rooms wherechildren arepresent and in rooms with tobacco smoke.
Pets might also feel disturbed.
8. Speed button: Fanspeed level 1-2-3
9. Timer button: Running time preselectable from 1-12 hours
10. Mode button: Switching between the operating modes:
Automatic -Sleep -Manual
11. Auto button: The device regulates the fan speed independently
according to the air quality
12. Sleep button: All displays except the Sleep display go out and the
device operates in whisper mode to allow undisturbed sleep.
13. ON/OFF button: After connecting the device to apower socket, the
ON/OFF display ashes.
Touch the button to start the device in TopSpeed mode -Select the
desired operating mode via the Mode button (10).
14. Control lights
Remove HCHO: Cleaning for formaldehyde is active (always active)
Purify: Cleaning for ne dust is active (always active)
Anion: lights up when the anion function has been activated via
button (7)
Sleep: lights up when Sleep mode (12) has been activated
Replace Filter: lter change indicator. The air purier calculates a
required lter change according to how long it has been used. The
change indicator then lights up. The lter should then be replaced to
ensuresucient air purication.
With daily use, the combi-lter should be used up after approx. 6-12
months.
Since the lter contains all the collected pollutants, it should only
be changed outdoors and with appropriate careagainst contact
contamination (gloves/respiratory protection).
The lter is not washable.
An unpleasant odour during operation may indicate that ltered
substances aredecomposing in the lter (e.g. bacteria) and it needs to
be replaced or ventilated in the sun.
Vacuum the lter and the inner housing every 1to2months to remove
coarse dirt. Then place the lter outdoors in direct sunlight for approx.
3hours to dry it and eliminate any bacteria, viruses etc. that may be
present through the UV rays.
Also hold the vacuum cleaner to the sensor opening (2) to clean it.
The lter can then possibly be reused. The lter must be replaced after
1year at the latest. On the one hand, thereisarisk that it will no
longer completely remove the particles mentioned from the air or that
the pollutant particles already in the lter willbereleased again. The
activated charcoal also loses its effect when unpacked.
Auto: Automatic mode selected via the Auto button (11). The built-in
air quality sensor controls the fan speed.
15. Reset button: After changing the lter, reset the display by pressing the
Filter reset button (15) on the remote control.
16. Displays
Speed: Display of the set fan speed level
PM 2.5: in µg/m³; display of measured ne dust particles with an
aerodynamic diameter Ø2.5µm (0.5 to 3.5µm). Typical concentrations
in homes are20to3g/m³.
Air Quality: After switching on the device, the display ashes until
the sensor has warmed up. After that, the display visually shows the
indoor air quality.
Green stands for good quality
Orange stands for normal quality
Red stands for inadequate quality
If the humidity in the room is very high, condensation can form on
the sensor and negatively affect the display and cause switching back
and forth in automatic mode. In this case, use the air purier with the
manual speed setting.
Temp: Display of the room air temperature
Timer: Display of the running time preselected via the Timer button (9)

5. The principle of air purification
Afan in the device draws in room air via the air inlets.
The pre-lter is located at the top of the lter system for the initial ltration
of impurities. Larger particles such as dandruff, hair and dust are ltered
out.
Afterwards, the sucked-in air ows through the EPA11lter.The
abbreviation EPAstands for "Eciency Particulate Air". The EPA lter
consists of avery ne brematerial. It has the ability to capturethe
smallest particles down to asize of between 0.1 to 0.3 μm. Thus, it can
lter bacteria (0.6 to 1.0 μm); ne dust (0.1 -10μm) and pollen (10 -100
μm) from the air.
The air then ows through an activated charcoal lter with acold catalyst
layer.Itlters out formaldehyde, benzene, other gases and unpleasant
odours. Activated charcoal has an excellent absorption capacity.Itcan
deodorise, dehumidify and in some cases trap viruses and have asterilising
effect.
The ioniser releases negatively charged ions into the air. These combine
with the positively charged dirt particles to form larger particles that can
be separated moreeasily.
The ltered air is discharged into the room at the air outlet.

The lter must be inserted beforethe rst start-up.
To do this, proceed as follows:
Pull the front panel upwards away from the air intake openings with both
hands.
Aretaining tab is attached to the top end of the lter for easier
installation. This must point outwards towards the front panel.
Remove the used lter, ifany, and dispose of it in your household waste.
Remove the new lter from the protective packaging and insert it into the
device. The black side of the activated charcoal lter must face the device.
Place the lter at the bottom of the lter chamber and insert it using the
retaining tab.
Replace the front panel and snap it into place.
