REFERENCE
1. The guard rail is not intended for children under 18 months or over 5 years of age. Only use the guard rail when
the child is able to climb on and o the bed independently.
2. The guard rail should not be used as a substute for a cot, as it is not able to provide the same safety as a cot
3. The maximum thickness of the maress corresponding to the railing is: min 12 cm, max 25 cm.
4. The guard rail must be installed in such a way that its side, when locked or installed, touches the side of the
maress.
5. The guard rail can only be used aer its xings have been secured and aer it has been securely aached to
the bed or maress as well as to the guard rail.

Aer installaon, the guard rail should be checked to ensure that it has been installed correctly and that it is secure.
7. The guard rail should be inspected periodically for general condion, with parcular emphasis on the safety of
the locking mechanism and/or hinges used.
8. Addional and spare parts should only be purchased from the manufacturer.
9. The guardrail should not be used on a sleeping surface that is more than 600 mm from the ground.
10. WARNING – To avoid the risk of strangulaon, make sure once the guard rail is aached that a space of at least
250 mm (10 inches) is provided between each end of the bed and the end of the guard rail.
11. Do not use in a bunk bed, waterbed, round bed or in a bed with an inatable maress. Use with an adult bed,
built-in bed or children’s bed that meets the requirements for the maress to be used.
